this man is making a fuging movie. a fuging feature length film. and he's coming to a game.

i'm going to go take a cold shower, and promise to never post irrationally again.

haha that's why i can't afford more than one game this year. this poo is expensive.

the good news is i was worried about missing playoff games when we shoot in cambodia in january, but suddenly that's seeming like less and less of an issue

Well people like to complain about rich people then turn around and give those people money for often shitty, defective products so yea...don't bitch about rich people when you're the actual problem.

I guarantee if no one shows up to games and they interview people and they said poo like "we demand accountability here" he'd wake his ass up in a hurry but people just like to bitch and talk but never do poo.

I see both sides as well so I ain't mad at all if people wanna sit back in the house with HD and AC...and if you wanna see a college squad play against NFL squads the Panthers are there too for NFL prices.

Anybodyhome started a thread about not being emotionally and financially tied to the team any longer. Good riddance. Being emotionally and financially tied to this team is something I take pride in. It's only sports for Christ's sake. Anybodyhome is the type of fan that the new wave of fan is replacing. So if you were there with me last night until the end raising hell, cheers. Together we can make a difference and keep the pussies out of our joint.

So, because it's something you "take pride in," anyone who doesn't match your level of enthusiasm should be summarily dismissed? Who the fug made you judge, jury and executioner of anything?

You were pessimistic last night? Fug you, you're not a real fan! You can't be pessimistic about your team. You have to believe they'll win every game.

At least I wasn't pessimistic last night- I thought it was a relatively easy win if they didn't turn the ball over. But because you went to the game, got drunk and raised hell, that makes you a "better fan?" If that's where your bar is set, I don't mind being replaced.

anybodyhome seems like a legit guy (though i don't understand how he can so easily detach himself emotionally from our team) and i hate to see rifts occurring across our fanbase.

i hope you all will take a lesson from me and not start poo on the internet.

Another bonus of being financially and emotionally invested in this team is getting to hold the American flag on the field for the pre-game anthem, personal tours of the stadium, and getting to watch my son make a lifetime memory at midfield as honorary team captain. All benefits of being emotionally and financially invested . e65e742cf51daeaa9e51131d8df90e34.jpgd092f0c20b852abd5068b180f17203a3.jpg8a2500895bb303a0281af13d5cac0129.jpg

Yep, been there, did all that over 20 years as a PSL owner, too. But you're doing it many years after I did, so I guess you're the better fan, eh?

I was pessimistic about our shitty fan base not showing up. I was optimistic about the game. I was wrong on both accounts. To each his own buddy, stay home, that's your choice. I choose to go the other direction. I'm just glad a new breed of fan is finally filling the seats in our joint.

And nah I wasn't drunk but I certainly raised hell.

I don't think that was what SCP was saying at all... that he was a "better fan"... but I think that you admitted in the other thread that you're not the fan now that you were in the past.  Is that not what you were saying?  Forget the financially invested part... you don't have to own PSL's or even attend games to be a huge fan...  you're not emotionally invested in the team not (self admittedly) so no, you're not the same fan that SCP (or a lot of us for that matter) is now.

I'm very irritated, disappointed, sad, pissed and about 20 other emotions about the Panthers right now... but I watched every goddamned second of the game last night and I'll do the same this Sunday.

Never meant to come across as saying I'm a better fan. I just choose to go and get loud and support them. Those that don't want to do that, please stay home. We don't need people in there that don't want to be there. Last night was proof that a shift is finally happening. At least I hope so.

I did everything SCP has done, I pounded seat backs, got drunk, even got into a few scraps with opposing fans. Had the pleasure of lunch with JR many years ago (pre-heart transplant), had a couple private tours of the inner bowels of the stadium and have a few pieces of terrific art signed by John Kasay and another by JR. I've spent the better part of an entire game on the field and got into an argument with Dennis Miller years ago before a Monday Night Green Bay game. Oh, yeah, met Brett Favre that night, too.

So yeah, because I'm a lot older, live a lot further away and I don't go to many games anymore- I guess I'm not the fan I used to be.
