QB: both are a choke waiting to happen. he aint much but at crunch time i'd rather have delhomme. in a perfect world i wouldn't have either but jake is the lesser of two evils.

RB: even.

WR panthers. smith>royw. moose>crayton other guys< austin

OL tie. we get the edge on class because we don't have flozer adams having to resort to tripping people to keep romo upright.

DL tie. both underperforming.

LB tie. (how many sacks they got this year?) both underperforming.

DB tie. both suck.

ST cowboys...aint saying much, though.

TE: cowboys

coach: tie

owner: panthers by a mile

This thread makes me think of all the people who walk up to me at work and say "Where do I log in?" while they are standing right in front of the computer with the giant sign saying "Log in Here."

Reminds me of the scene from Clerks where he talks about the retarded people coming into the video store asking where the new movies are, while standing in front of a huge "NEW MOVIES HERE" sign.

"Oooh look, mini-trucker magazine." :leaving:

Hmm if we go by the first two games of the season, all their positions have outperformed us, especially offensively. Their line has opened holes and protected their QB, ours hasnt. That definitely contributes to why their RB's production is so high. Their QB only has three ints compared to our 6, and gotten more WR production, partly b/c of Romo. Smith will be the best WR on the field, but dont discredit RW, and their depth behind our 1's is better. TE not even worth mentioning, Witten may be the most dominating player on the field unless we decide to cover him. Their defense hasnt been great, no sacks as a matter of fact, but still better than ours. But we know they have a sack machine in Ware, a matter of time before they start drilling people, and our luck... They just lost, we seem to be playing teams at the worse times, while Saints are getting break after break.

    • If there's another QB that came to the combine after packing on 15 lbs of water weight to hide his playing weight, I don't remember it.  I understand it's all part of the pre-draft game, and he participated. The FO was stupid and ignored huge red flags.  On a side note though, I was at the airport a few weeks ago and saw a basketball team going through and decided to try and look through them. I'm 6'2 and these guys were 6'6 and up. I was amazed by how much I couldn't see around them. And these guys weren't 300 plus in pads. I still think he's having a hell of a time seeing the field at the NFL speed.
    • There is merit to the points you're making here. On the flip side one could argue it took us investing 150 million in the oline for him to have a breakout season. And he has still yet to hit 1k rushing yards in a season. As far as Brooks goes the position does not require that significant of a draft investment for many other teams. That's not being negative it's just a matter of fact. The 49ers did quite well with a UDFA running back while McCaffrey was out. It is understandable that some people have concerns. That being said it boils down to whether or not you believe in the player. We just have to see what happens with him and Brooks.
    • Okay, that day in Vegas had to embarrass him completely. Andy showed him how to do the job.  What I think when I go there, why did it take Andy? He has had game after game of watching actual NFL QBs work and that didn't do it?  Anyhow Andy did not mess around, he stood in there and did his job and got rid of the ball ahead of the pressure. Down the field. With the same players Bryce had. Night and day.  If that didn't wake him up nothing ever would. But I don't think he has any sort of top NFL QB in him, he just lacks the full tool kit.
