Cam has gotten the David Carr's because of the lack of protection, again.

IMO, Cam needs to get back into that scramble mentality. It'll help our OL and it'll force defenses to pay for blitzing him. Right now, we're not making teams pay for over blitzing and that's why we're seeing near constant blitzes. If we aren't going to do it with play calling, then Cam needs to do it with his legs.

 

 

I hear you, but I think the goal ultimately should be upgrade the OL and hire a new OC. Cam running opens him up to more illegal dirty ass hits and I dont know if our receivers knows how to get open when Cam is on the run. Seattle receivers are used to Wilson doing that poo

Yup.Last year he was completing passes that many qbs couldn't complete. He's a good passer end of story.

Got to agree with most of what he said... Its freaking amazing how a team has a once in a generation qb and gives him basically crap to play with. Panthers might go down in NFL history with zero SB wins because they're too cheap to put quality pieces around a could be great qb.

Oh great, the "Cam's not a great passer" narrative has come back. He can make ANY throw out there consistently, but not when he only has 2 seconds to throw the godamn ball every play. Hell, most of his dropbacks he barely has time to plant his feet before getting illegally hit in the head. The refs and NFL got what they wanted, the defense can do whatever they want to Cam because the NFL wants it and allows it. They never wanted Cam to succeed, and only started accepting it last year by default because of his greatness.

In perspective Andrew Luck has had little to no help in terms of a line since he arrived in the NFL! Granted he's been awash with receivers but he has had no run game or defense to rely on unlike Cam.

People poo on Cam throwing but I think he HAS the ability to make all the throws. Some of the balls he has thrown are top 20 NFL throws ever. I think its mentally and game planning, and for sure a poor O line.

 

For some reason we think Cam is the one player than can just carry an offense every single game. He has never had a top tier WR, never a top O line. People say KB is the answer and thats all we need.. no KB is one threat we should have of many. Its a shame, because Cam has gave his all to the panthers on and off the field. I think he is one of the greatest men in the league. I have seen about 4 or 5 articles the past 2 weeks saying oh front office guys says he is done, he has to change all this. The team just has to evolve and not be so stubborn sticking to its guns. Get him some play makers behind him, in front of him, down the field. 

Remember when we had this plan to get out of CAP HELL? Remember when we thought we would have money to spend in a few years? Well its been a few years and its pretty much the same team, playing bargain trying to get unknowns to play for the low.

My definition of David Carr's must be different than everyone else. Carr was scared shitless as soon as he got the ball, cam stays in the pocket more than ever and holds on to the ball for too long at times. Both of which are the opposite if being scared
