It's not just Cam having a poor start to the season.  The entire team has played pretty poorly.

We also had some very close calls, it wasn't until week 9 and the Packers that he got the MVP ball rolling.

I really hope Cam starts believing in himself again. In my opinion the hits he has been taking have scared him a little bit. It's almost as he can't trust the guys in the trenches to keep him safe and provide time. Given there were a few times where he had plenty to get rid of it or to run. I honestly think he'll be ok. Give him this game to rest and to find the hunger and want. #Camwillrise.

I actually think the exact opposite. IMO, Cam is trying too hard to be a pure passer when we call passing plays. The protection sucks. The routes take too long to develop. He needs to be more willing to bail and scramble. Not to buy more time to pass, but to get North and South and pick up yards with his legs. A team earlier this year, I think it may have been the Vikings, spoke to this after the game. They said Cam really isn't a scrambler. When we dial up passing plays, he's a pure passer. He'll scramble to try to buy time, but he's really looking to pass the ball. He's really trying not to run. 

IMO, Cam needs to get back into that scramble mentality. It'll help our OL and it'll force defenses to pay for blitzing him. Right now, we're not making teams pay for over blitzing and that's why we're seeing near constant blitzes. If we aren't going to do it with play calling, then Cam needs to do it with his legs.

Cam was the best passer last season and it wasn't close. Brady and Palmer had 100 more attempts and Brady only had only had one more TD meanwhile Carson was tied. Let me not even get into the receiving options.

 

If I were to give you a degree of difficulty passing highlights comparing Cam and those other three it would be comical. Brady dink and dunk artist whose in a prolific system and Palmer had weapons galore. Cam was  completing passes that Brady could only dream of
