Steve Smith and Norman both hurt in the same game.

Smith's actually only had about half of one good season since joining the Ravens.

Ravens beat writers took note of how he faded after the first six games or so in year one. In year two, he was injured early and looks like the same scenario might play out in year three.

Meanwhile, we went to the Super Bowl without him.

Boy he sure showed us, huh?

He was a top 10 wr last year before being injured.

Actually, he was PFF's 4th rated WR on the season prior to the injury. Prior to that he had that 1000 year.

honestly it takes a special kind of person to make a comment that dumb

"but those nameless beat writers said!" lol

Sorry, but I don't believe Steve was shown the door because of performance.

Chemisrty makes or breaks a team. The same thing we are currently trying to fix.

I'm still a huge 89 fan and I don't think he was let go for what he could/couldn't do on the field. Management felt like the chemistry was unbalanced with his personality on the team.

In Smith's first season in Baltimore, the Ravens win a Wild Card game but lost in the divisional round, same as the Panthers.

Lat year, the Ravens went 5-11 while the Panthers were 15-1 and went to the Super Bowl.

Only an idiot would consider us as being on the short end of the stick in that stretch.

there was definitely somebody in that front office he didn't get along with. Just a shame that personal egos were the driving force behind the decision and not the quality of the players.
