Only real postive I can take away from bene's release is that he was still on his rookie contract and won't kill the team with dead money.

I see on his twitter Jeremy sent him a pic a few weeks ago of himself in a Panthers uniform. He's probably burning that pic right now... and crying.

So Bene's agent was totally "socked" at Bene being cut. Said it was "just weird" and he's he's on his rookie contract.

Yeah panthers threw away a guy on his rookie contract because he ran his mouth?? if ron wanted a scapegoat there were far better candidates than bene here.

It's not like this coaching staff hasn't shook up players before, and it's not like it hasn't worked either.

 

This season feels like 2014 already.

McD has been very upset lately. He hasn't been sleeping well since the Falcons debacle. He would wake up every hour in a panic about the terrible defense in that game. Don't rule out McD having a big say in dumping Bene.

As I keep repeating, cutting Benwikere has ZERO financial impact on the team.  NONE.

This was not a Gettleman move.

It was a coaching staff move.
