I can't believe it. No way Gettle would stoop this low and he's handled situations lowly before. You rushed the man back from injury due to your dumbass decisions and I know he's not 100% and you cut that man with no CB depth really, no CB veteran-ship. He's cheap and young. I dont believe it until Ron confirms

somebody had to take the blame for putting up one of the worst defensive performances in league history, but it sure wasn't gonna be anybody Dave bet the season on.

I'm sorry but if you think this is solely about jones that's a mistake. He mentioned his lack of conditioning being the cause of some of those plays. Maybe there is a health issue we don't know the extent of or maybe there is something going on off the field. It's not just one game.

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
