So what is the point of Teddy Williams? He's totally useless as a CB and isn't even that good on ST. Demote Bene, bring up Sanchez? Sure. This makes no sense though.

That's a really good point, has Williams even be active since Week 1? Has to be more than just performance-related.

Looks to me like Bene is an innocent victim of Gettelman's attempt to send the locker room a wake up call. Bene didn't deserve to be cut. Demoted maybe, but not cut. Especially considering our other options at CB. I wish him luck elsewhere.

He is being serious. watching you scapegoat the coaching staff to absolve gettleman all because you're mad that Ron made some pointless offhanded comment about one of your Auburn boys is what's actually silly.

Love reading all the Panther experts on this board. Guys who do everything for a living except run football teams and they're questioning the moves by guys who were just in the Super Bowl nine months ago.

I think he will be okay, but it does leave a very sour taste to everyone in that lockerroom. Bene will be fine I think. He may be able to land a job elsewhere. I wonder what the reason is because it seems sudden and abrupt.

Maybe Sanchez gives them a better chance to win. It's not impossible that he's improved. Benwikere hasn't looked like himself since the injury. Strange risky move though... it better payoff for Gettles.
