I wondered before the season if a house money mentality would creep in and i think that's the case. 

They are sitting on lots of cap and want to tie up guys long term and get a good draft spot and go back all in in 2017.

For those saying that Bene was trash, he wasn't, who do we have to replace him with? No one. Our depth at DB was already complete trash, and without Bene we're a single injury away from signing PS players to start.

This move doesn't make sense, unless Bene has done something criminal.
