Anyone else's interest for NFL football dwindling?

Ever since I moved out of NC my interest has gone down a lot. College football is much more exciting and I've loved baseball since I was a little kid so that's where my passion is now.

I feel the same way as the OP. I can't really put a finger on it though honestly. I just haven't felt like tuning into the primetime games like I always have.

I don't watch NFL games outside of the Panthers it just isn't interesting to me like it used to be. I think I still have a lot of hate in my heart from how things played out in the Super Bowl and how things have started this year.

If it wasn't for fantasy football, I wouldn't pay attention to the NFL at all. I love the Panthers and have been a fan since day one, but I'm tired of watching the poo show. It feels so rigged now. The refs are now determining the outcomes of games, not just because of one play, but because they suck at calling the entire game. The fix on the SB last year and opening day this year did it for me. Football had me for a long time, but the Goodell shitshow has ruined it all.

Yes.  I never thought I'd join in this chorus that started in whispers a few years back.  But the voices are getting louder now and this season has been the tipping point to get me to join them.  I don't think I've had any fun watching the NFL thus far this season.  All the reasons people mentioned above have played a role, but the biggest one for me is the insane ineptitude of the referees.  Every game I've watched any part of, all it has taken is a drive or two for me to see the Refs trying to make the game about them.  Trying to put their finger on the scale. And the NFL protects them like they're in a god damn witness protection program or something.  The NFL has zero integrity as a league.  It's gotten so blatant over the course of the Goodell regime that even the NCAA is more subtle in its corruption.  And I fuging HATE the NCAA.

So yeah.  I never thought I'd say it but yes.  I'm rapidly losing interest in the NFL. To the point where I probably won't even go to extraordinary lengths to not miss a Panthers game anymore when life gets in the way.  It's just gonna make me mad.  Even when we win.

the home cooking that a power 5 program gets in the form of a little love tap on the butt so it can slip past an FCS team at home in week 1 has nothing on the poo that's been going on in the NFL this season

i agree that college football has been more fun to watch so far and that's something i thought i'd never say

I quit being a diehard after the sb loss, I'm just a casual fan. I have to many important things in my life to freak out about then football. That sb loss crushed me.

Less is more. I can't believe I'm about to say this but i have NFL fatigue.  It's always on and someone is breaking it down and someone breaks down the breakdown and it's non stop.

I do lots of fantasy and even that becomes more tedious than it needs. Oh I'm sure your favorite team losing doesn't help.

Get rid of Thrs games or at least do 1 a month to maintain interest level and not erode ratings.

They use to do the last 8 wks of the season on Thrs. I liked that.

I was just thinking about this the other day I used to watch every nfl game that I could now its like i don't care if I miss watching a game like prime time games.

Now don't get me wrong I will not miss a panthers game but it does seem like my interest on the NFL has fallen off.

I am tired of watch the ref show. I am tired of commercials every 3 minutes and 2 minute ref conferences on every other play. I am tired of watching my QB get hit in the head every other play, and then having a foul called against our defense for brushing the side of a QB's helmet with an open hand. Goodell went for the reality show, and I am over it. I would about rather watch NFL redzone than what is being passed off as football now.

I've not been all in this season......        been giving away home game tickets to friends and family.......and have barely watched any football on tv..                       Ever since politics entered the NFL....I've not really been feeling it.           I used to turn to the NFL to escape real world poo that may be depressing....... when it became clear that I couldn't do that anymore,  I became less and less interested, to the point of not even caring.

I have lost interest big time. Just a game and I don't get involved as I used to. Don't watch any other pro football besides the cats,  and this year that's even hard to watch.
