Serious question....

Do you feel the Panthers were set up by the NFL by making us replay the Super Bowl as the season opener?

I can't help but wonder what our season would look like had we opened the season at home like division champs are supposed to.  To throw us back into the eye of the storm that was so contentious and had so much drama wrapped around it - the deck was really stacked against our guys having to watch all the fanfare prior to the game, in Denver with a crowd that was insanely riled up.

I think if we were at home, we probably would have won and been off to a much different start.  I may be completely wrong but I can't help but think we got F-ed by the NFL.

You could argue that. I do think we should've opened at home. I also try to remember that we played a pretty decent game and were a missed FG from the upset. That's when the confidence went to hell and Cams head problems really started. It's been downhill from there. The NFL generally doesn't like small market teams.

Set up or not, I don't think Rivera's excuse-making set the right tone for the team. To whine to the media about the schedule is weak sauce, and his coaching clearly hasn't helped set the tone for the team.

Denver Defense is legit but ATL have weapons to win especially against the secondary.

Well we have seen how they play, so there goes that. I just have a feeling Matt will see grass a lot more. Not saying they can't pull the upset because we almost did. I can't see them beating Dirty Denver at home in mile high.

Rivera has made way too many excuses already this season. Be a fugin coach and let the fans make excuses for why we suck

Teams need to stop the Denver momentum can't let them go 16-0

I'm ready to see Riverboat Ron, become Mr. Pissed off Ron.  I could be wrong but he seems like he's too damn friendly with all the players.  I'm not saying he shouldn't be tight with the players, but when they're playing like crap I expect a different tone.

I don't think any of the players are "scared" of RR, the way every-damn-player on the Pats are scared of Belichick.  I'm sure he's friends with lots of players too but if they aren't performing there are consequences and everyone knows it.

I just feel that our team is taking a very "eh, we'll pull it out next weekend" attitude.

While I agree the 15-1 spoiled...it doesn't help that we have 3 losses so quickly....It'd be one thing to have 3 L's by week 8...you can deal with that and get one or two more L's and still be ok for the remainder of the season.  But to have 3 in 4 weeks makes it a very tough hill to climb to start.  Your basically needing to go 10-2 for the rest of the season.  Thats tough enough by itself.
