This simply means that we have "shooting ourselves in the foot."  We have been an undisciplined team thus far this quarter of the season.  We are averaging 8 penalties per game and ranked 25th out of 32.  Also, last year we were +1.4 on Turnover margin per game and right now we sit at -0.75 per game.  Carolina: 10 total turnovers Carolina Takeaways: 7 so -3 for the year.  We are simply not doing the things we did to win games last year.  We have averaging only 20 yards difference from last year 2015: 141.9 2016 : 121.8.  Time of Possession is roughly identical: 2015 : 32:12 2016 : 32.19.  What this tells me is that we are losing the turnover battle and killing ourselves with penatlies.  These things can be fixed.  Season isn't' lost.  These are the "little things" that coaches need to focus on and we can turn this bad start around.
