felt obligated to post this since i got some nasty lil virus from a popup that even when u clicked on the x to close it out took over my internet. I bought Kaspersky antivirus(reccommened by the geek squad)..the virus wouldnt let it load...ditto with mcafee and Norton...So I almost went and bought a mac just to be done with the silly b.s even tho i only use the comp for basic functions like coming on here...

Long Story Short...geek squad wanted 199 to maybe fix it and i had to leave the computer with them for a minimum of 4 days..Called Norton Live and they somehow took control of my computer thru the interwebz with my consent and after 3 and a half hours of them working constantly(i could watch them) they finally got rid of it!

Geek squad is a rip off... I just got rid of the Trojan Vundo.H virus... AVG, Malwarebytes, Spyguard wouldn't touch it... I downloaded SpyNoMore and it zapped it... took me a while, but it worked...

Don't know where I could have got a virus from... I mean, all I do is work stuff on the internet...

Huddle Boob Inspector tasks do not technically fall under the work category.

You lie!

Biscuit, I down loaded a Vundo Fix tool a while back when I had a Vundo problem. It stopped its processes and deleted some.

I highly recommend Malware Antibytes free edition, Super Anti Spyware free edtion. These two tools can solve just about anything.

Their forums are great for information too.

yeah, I tried Vundo fix and it didn't find anything? Malwarebytes would find it, delete it, but then it would come right back.

Thats because the virus takes up residence in your registry and re-creates itself on startup even if you remove its original host location that Malwarebytes finds. There's a tool out there called GMER that will find the hidden registry entry for the rootkit so you can then run regedit from the command line and rename/delete the little bastard so it can't function again.

That's actually probably the #1 reason people get viruses. They get horny and go looking for free porn and see a pop-up saying they need to install this activex horseshit to continue, and they're just like "SURE, FINE, MY DICK IS HARD AND I NEED TO JERK OFF, fug HURRY UP. poo WHY ARE THERE 10,000 DANCING DICKS ON MY SCREEN NOW?"

Just sign up for puretna or empornium. Much safer.
