Barnwell breaks down Panthers woes; spoiler: DBs are terribad

What's their blitz rate through 4 games though?  I just read on one of the threads that the Panthers blitzed roughly 50% of the time yesterday.  You don't do that when your front is getting legit pressure on its own.  The blitzes leave a vulnerable secondary in an even less advantageous position, but there is really not much else you can do if you are carved up, regardless.

Lol we pretty much have accepted that the secondary is bad. Tre is not a starter, Bene is not so much big play and we have rookies lol. We know this.

Tre I can agree on.

But do we know that the rookies are bad now or is it already decided after just four games that they're bad permanently?

welp its time to start moving the goalposts

First it was "guys we'll be fine, Norman was irrelevant, its the system"

Now its good ole fashioned "look were rebuilding okay? We knew this would take time. Gettleman is still the greatest executive in league history. Tell it like it is G-Magic! Bup bup!"

And what would you like? Everybody to cry fire Gettleman in unity? lol that's not gonna happen.

No, no I wasn't saying the rookies are bad. I think Bradberry shows promise. I was just mentioning we had Tre who isn't a starter and Bene who isn't a big play plus the rookies. I actually like Bradberry.

Bene should be a number two or a nickel, not a number one, but until Bradberry gets his feet fully under him that's his role.

Now happily, not every team has a Julio Jones.

I want the team to retain players that help them win football games rather than plastering boots in butts to show how tough and Mr. Boss Man we are.

Wasn't bradberry out for most of the game on Sunday. Worley was manning the left side while bene was on the right. Not saying bradberry was going to lock anyone down and beside most of their big plays came off of bene. Granted a couple of times bene may have been thinking help was coming from the top.

I hate the fact the Dbs have to play so far off the ball. Ryan picked us a part with quick slants.

I totally agree with that. We were talking about this watching the game yesterday. Not every team has a Julio that can hang 300 on us but I'm sure every team we play going forward will see that we give up some big plays down the field.

Maybe we give Bene his bat back. I'm grasping at straws right now lol.

Bradberry played 12 snaps. Came out after the first series gave up four completions for 53yards he wasn't going to lock nobody down!
It was dam right embarrassing that they put single coverage in Julio! Who does that? Let alone it be a rookie!

Last year we had Tillman and Harper as well, and although neither of them were in their prime we didn't seem to have so many people out of position.

As I think back our system isn't made for rookies. Its made for vets. It takes some time to for young players to get the scheme down
