Cam and Anderson

Recommended Posts

Yeah....this was because of the D that was being played. No question about it.

But those of you wanting to see how DA will do are more than likely going to get your wish. I'm anticipating Cam being out until after the bye.

DA will probably be fine against Tampa and NO.

They sure a hell didn't prevent much did they?

in 4 series. 172 yards passing with 2 TD and 2 very suspect interceptions.

Anderson 17-23 172 yards 2TDs 2INTS in 4 drives.

Newton 14-25 165 yards 1TD 0INTs through 3 1/2 quarters

take away those very suspect INTs and we have some mad ass Cam apologists. Derek showed how to run this offense correctly.

Man.....simmer down a little here on the "Cam apologist" language. No need for the extra drama. If you really can't recognize the defensive changes from when Cam was in and when DA came in then you should rewatch the game. DA did a great job but ATL was absolutely in prevent. Comparing their stats is very misleading and doesn't give you any real picture of what was happening. And suspect INTs? We had two mins to tie the game when he threw the first one. And it was a God awful pass.

You don't know what a prevent defense looks like and you're a Panthers fan? Atlanta was giving cushion to keep everything in front of them.

were they playing prevent on the 2nd two point conversion or on 2nd and goal from the 20 after four penalties from Remmers?

Say and think what y'all want, but I'm ready to see some new things on offense from behind center.

i understand Cam will be back in 2 weeks at the least, but this will be a good change of pace for awhile.

Maybe Cam can learn a thing or two, watching from the sideline.

And that's fine, but just say that then. Don't try and sell us on how much better DA played when it's not an apples to apples comparison. Just say you aren't happy with Cam and want a change. Don't mask it with BS.

Good lord, no one is saying DA didn't do some nice things. He deserves credit for sure. But these dudes in here are comparing him and Cam like they faced the same situations the whole game. Which is completely wrong.

The game plan was altered for DA. He came in and made some good plays, but let's be real. Shula isn't calling these short, quick passes for Cam. If so, Cam would've put 40 on the board by halftime. That will never be his strong point if it's not something he has to do in-game. Going forward, I think they should practice the quick dumps. Cam is the starting franchise QB for a reason.

My oh my, how quickly the tides change.

Its not a hard comparison.  Cam was terrible against a terrible defense.  The few times where he actually made a good read he then made an awful throw to an open receiver.  There was a drag route to Ginn in the first half that comes to mind.  If he makes that throw its probably a 30 yard completion.  Instead he threw it high and behind Ginn.  I dont know what's wrong but you cant pin this bad performance on facing a good defense.
