Realistically what can the team do right now?

Alford for the falcons is one of the worst CBs in the league, we should have took advantage of that and tested him all day instead of when the game was over. Its things like that why Shula cant be taken seriously as OC. No kinda commitment to identifying other teams weaknesses to exploit them just go out and do the same thing every week and hope it works. Its one thing to get beat but the make the other look better then what they really are.

What they can do is focus, play better and with passion and beat the Bucs at home with a crazed home crowd behind them.

This. Also it seems that the leaders of this team are MIA. They need to step up & hold themselves and the rest of the team accountable. If they are a family then they need to act like it & start trusting each other to do their jobs.

Well that's the point isn't it...can't do anything now.

Gman could have:

1) Kept Norman
2) Signed Prince Amukamara
3) Signed Okung
4) Signed Schwartz
5) Signed Matt Forte
6) Signed Eric Weddle

All of those are reasonable and were talked about and we'd only need like 3 of those to be in a MUCH better situation than we are now. Literally none of those contracts these guys got were unreasonable and we clearly have the money for it especially if we still got rid of Norman.

That isn't 20/20 bullshit that is actual stuff we talked about except maybe Swartz but you'd expect a fugin GM to know the other pros who are legit and cost worthy...was a brilliant move to bring in JA last year for peanuts he just had nothing left in the tank but that dood played his ass off anyway.

Only thing I can think of is we are saving money to make a splash next offseason. Won't we have a bunch of cap them?

If you keep Norman there is no way you can afford Okung. Panthers already have a high price RB. Amukamara has glass bones and paper shins . Weddle made sense.

We have to get better - Rivera

And this thought process is exactly why they are losing.

A team rebuilding needs to get better.

A championship team needs to dominate and make sure every team they face knows who is the best.

The coaches can not preach that it is a new season, and every team is 0-0. That will set  the team up to be out worked on the field, because every opponent is coming at them to prove they can be in the SB. Until they take the mindset of a champion fighting for their legacy by putting every team in their place, they will always come up short in the passion game and be outworked on the field.

This means the coaches can not coach with the same complacency. They must leverage more risk in their calls if they want to stay at the top.

If the players and coaches fail to do this, they will fall back to the middle of the pack. Then they can go back to the relevance mindset. That would be a step back though.

It's still too early in the season for me to panic.  But yeah the Atlanta game was an eye opener.  I expected them to score, but I didn't expect our offense to be stymied.  A lot of that had to do with our terrible tackles.  Not sure how much can be done with what we have on the o-line.
