LOL dude you are loving this....hey everyone look at me I was right on the internet!!!!! After week 4 I am champion wooohoo look at me! King of the interwebz!

No, I'm not loving it.  We're losing.  I'm bringing up reasons why we're losing, as they are relevant to the discussions we are having in the midst of said losing.  I'm also reminding many of the people who are scapegoating the losses on irrelevant things, the causes as to how we got here.  And as I said in the other thread, people were gunning for me after I expressed my opinion on the Norman departure and those same people, which sadly was a large faction of the board, convinced themselves that Norman was a system product and we wouldn't miss him.  Then I spent a good majority of the offseason seeing people digging and scraping for news to post about Norman struggling in Washington to make themselves feel better even though I was convinced it was the worst thing for OUR team...  So, yes, I'm going to remind those people that they were horribly wrong and no, not everything Gettleman touches turns to gold.  He put us in a bad spot, and most of it all originates with the Norman debacle.

I HATE losing.  I hate losing especially when I feel we didn't have to, and so my posts express that frustration and emotion.

I like you but this is the dumbest thing you've ever said bar none.

I will stand behind my words. Norman can do a lot of things but he can't cover Julio forever, and that's what he had, forever. Aside from the slant for the score most his catches were bombs.

The story behind that meme is a good example of what the Internet quickly evolved into once any jackass with a modem started getting online.

I do hate how the internet is mainstream and everyone is on it...it was a hell of a lot better in the 90s.

Norman wouldn't have changed much today. We have no pass rush. Our scheme depends on pass rush. We have none. We would be boned with Norman too.

While I agree with this notion, I don't think Julio gets all those yards if we had Josh.  But yeah this argument is done...nothing can be done about it so move on.

A refresher on why Josh rose to prominence on the national scene and got himself into the "best corner" conversation.  Oh, how quickly some of you conveniently forget to fit things into your own narrative...  His career started in 2012.  He became a permanent starter in 2014.  These are Julio's career stats against us while Josh has been in the league.

Julio Jones Career Game Log vs. Panthers Pro Football Reference.com.png

So, to put things into correct perspective for those of you in denial...  Over 4 games in Josh's two years as a full-time starter, and just to entertain you we'll say all 178 yards were attributed to Josh in last season's matchup (even though they weren't), Julio racked up a whopping 383 yards total.

So, 383 yards over four games spanning two years.

vs.

300 yards in one game on one day.

But, pass rush, amirite?

If Julio has 6 seconds to run down field and Matt Ryan knows it and can load up and let it go with a clean pocket,  then yea. Pass rush.
