The Read Option

One of the reasons plays take so long to develop in our horrible scheme is this damn play option BS. This reminded me of the Giants game earlier in Cams career where we were dismantled in prime time. The read option isn't working and it's killing us. Other than Stewart it was clear none of the RBs even know what to do. Not to mention the fact that those two seconds of give or keep and our horrendous oline is a recipe for disaster.

Is it to much to ask for us to run a normal offense and have Cam run when it's open? I didn't see any Read Option with Anderson and while they may have been playing more preventative defensively, the options seemed to open up more in the passing game. Time to get Funchess involved especially. Let's get some snaps under center, this scheme is not working.

We don't have to eliminate it completely, but every damn play it's the same slow development, why can't we do a simple hand off up the middle, or a sweep without the fake every time. Rant over, we will come back from this too much talent. Shula has to change this.
