Cam Newton is playing the worst ball of his career this year. He's been garbage.

You would swear cam is a player, coach,  and front office executive for this team. He is not, but that will be the narrative come Monday morning. He takes all the blame from the talking heads and no one else is held accountable. Always has really.

I agree. The announcers this game tore him up. Granted he didn't have a great game, but it was non stop. David Newton said he made a bonehead play on the 2 point conversion, but any other player does that, "oh he just made a mistake it's ok" I know cam didn't play well but he will always be bashed.

Go to hell. Cam is worth every penny, earning every dollar. The team doesn't have the talent, so there is that.

This is where we separate and I'm gonna have to disagree with you.

This team has plenty of talent.

Now you want to talk whether or not that talent is being used appropriately?  Or being put into positions to win?  Then, yes, lets talk.

But talent level per se?  Plenty on this team to win.  But we're not this year.  But, if I say the reason, the SDS will enter and ruin this thread even further.

You're right. The talent we have isn't being used properly then the rest of it just isn't enough to cut it.

Look, I'm a big Cam fan. Was a student at Auburn to see his rise to success. Being a SC native and current resident, I have always been a fan, even when he was being trashed about his discrepancies in college.

BUT

I have to say, I felt a negative blanket walk off the field when he was removed from the game today. Anderson brought a freshness with him to the game, cleared the air. I'm getting the feeling there may be some unspoken tensions within the offense. I'm not sure if you can place the blame on Cam or his protection and offensive weapons (do we even have any lately?)....but it is clear that Cam's frustration bleeds into the rest of the offense. The scary part is you can almost pin point the exact play in each game, where Cam's mental game is defeated. It's a similar feeling when I watch golfer losing the mental game in one single swing of the club.

The hope I'm resting on tonight is that we've lost to 2 of the best defensive teams and the best offensive team, so far this year. Mabye its a bad roll of the dice for our schedule. I will still be rooting on our team and pulling for Cam next week.

Because people want him to win as a team but take every loss, mistake, mishap, etc as an individual. The minute you start blaming the coaches and GM, people try to deflect and change the subject back to Cam being a sore loser or shower his frustration.

Yeah, that pick six really cleared the air.

If Im under that line, I'm frustrated too. But his frustrations start with the play calling. But if they see him struggling, why aren't they rallying around him? He's trying to get everybody worked into the offense, he's taking a beating, that's enough to get anyone frustrated. I don't think he trusts them. It's up to his o-line and offense to come together and rally around him.
