Cam getting a concussion was his fault

I hate defending a Falcons player, but he was clearly put his shoulder forward. He's just shorter than Cam, so yeah of course their helmets are gonna touch... this wasn't anything CLOSE to what we saw in the Denver game.

Cam taking a stroll on this play is infuriating. I don't even know what he's thinking. Just run straight in or even dive and none of this ever happens

Look again. He is leaning in and the helmet is first to touch.

You old boring farts yet again talking about him doing the first down point is simply astounding to me.

With all that is going on with this franchise right now, there is still someone with an apparently functioning brain focused on suppressing celebrating instead of actually improving our team?

Priorities, huh? Simply pathetic.

People like that don't even deserve a winning franchise.

It isn't about suppressing celebration.

Cam got knocked out because of his mental attitude toward the play.  Entire O is messed up, some is talent some is upstairs.

I got no issue with his "look at me stuff" when he and the O are playing smart and well.

As long as it's not with the crown then I'm pretty sure you are. Which is stupid if the NFL really cares about player safety.

So turn your head just a bit and all is well.  What is frustrating is they all have reasons why they don't make any calls.

I believe to the bottom of my soul they are teaching the defends to lead with the head to take him out.  They can't tackle him so this is there way of getting him down.

Gonna be said the day Cam has had enough and leave prematurely.

I agree with you completely. I'm pissed as hell and they are definitey going after Cam. But unfortunately....and I mean it's BS that it's not...I don't think that was an illegal play.

I have hated seeing Cam take the pounding he has taken this year.  The refs have let teams tee off on him through the first four games; however,  Cam pulled up on the play and the defenser didn't.  Had that been kuechly playing until the whistle blew, trying to stop a two point try by an opposing teams QB, everyone in this forum would be singing kuechlys praise.

If that had been Luke hitting Matt Ryan like that not only would he have been flagged, fined and likely ejected, but they'll have probably tossed out Olsen, TD and KB just for good measure. There's no way to justify this. If you wanna argue QB vs. runner I see your point but when has it EVER been legal to pop a dude in the head whether he's running or not?

im with the the guy who said there's no way to justify this if you're a Carolina fan.

And furthermore, if I were Cam hell yes I'd be nervous and off my game knowing other players are going for my head and the refs are gonna let them do it.

When? Right now it's legal as long as the defender isn't leading with the crown of his helmet. Which is completely ridiculous, but legal.

I suppose it's a matter of how we see it and I freely admit I'm more than a little suspicious of any helmet to helmet on cam after the Denver game, but it sure looked like he was going high to me.

This is so true. That takes anybody off of their game. We can argue about a legal versus illegal hit, but we can all be very real and say 90% of the hits Cam takes are illegal because he's being hunted. That's the only way defenders can stop him and that takes him mentally out of the game. I'm too suspicious of any hits he takes with a helmet. I think they're all intentional at this point. Gettleman better do more with protecting his investment.

He was definitely going high. But yesterday Cam was clearly a runner so he doesn't have the protections he's "supposed" to have as a QB. So technically the defender didn't do anything wrong. Which is where the problem is - the way that rule is written. We all know he was taking a shot at Cam's head and it's BS that what he did isn't illegal

Flagged, fined and ejected for what?

it was a good play.  Cam was foolish.

you can legally hit runners helmet to helmet.  Ask Stewart how many times per game he gets cracked in the head.
