Cam getting a concussion was his fault

After watching that gif a bit more I think it's hilarious that Remmers tries to fall his fat ass on that defender on purpose...man I like Remmers and wish he was actually talented because he has the heart and mindset of a good player he just sucks and isn't the best athelete out there but by god he tries and then actually tried to defend Cam by jumping on that doods head.

Seriously pay close attention to the gif as Remmers comes in at the end of the play and jumps his knee on that guy lol. It's like Smitty saying to Jake when he poo his career away "I love the man, but the QB?" same way with Remmers.

I didn't even realize that, that's hysterical thing to happen during a shitty play

I see it this way: whenever any player from another team celebrates after a big play, we look down on them just a bit. You know it's true. This should be no different with Cam or any Panther. Just think back to the T.O., Moss or Ochocinco days. People thought they were clowns. Yet, we loved when Smitty did it.

You can't fault Cam for trying to be an entertainer and "icon" outside of the game. Michael Jordan did it, Peyton Manning did it, Brett Favre did it, LeBron James does it, Aaron Rodgers does it now. One difference ... all of those guys did it AFTER they won it all and became "best of the best". Cam has been trying to do it from day one and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Ask yourself this: when our fans get down on a crappy guy like Remmers, we're fine with it. He deserves the hate. But what does it mean when part of your fan base starts to get iffy of a GREAT player? Where there's smoke there's fire. SO many fans from other teams hate on Cam. The media hates on Cam. Now even some of his own fans "hate" on Cam. There's something there, guys.

This is not a knock on his talent. Dude has it coming out of his pores. But when someone like CRA says he needs to set the tone of what football "needs to be", what he means is some of us want Cam to be a QB first. NO, not a "white QB" as the debate usually ends up. Not some quiet, no nonsense, stand-in-the-pocket passer ... but a PROFESSIONAL. Stop pointing after a first down, stop taking balls away from another guy who scores a TD just so YOU can give the ball away, worry about your food truck in the off season, worry about the millions of ideas UA has for you for the off season, don't worry about the crazy shoes and outfit you'll wear at a press conference, don't worry about HAVING to wear a shirt with a message during warm-ups. And for the love of god, stop tweeting like an idiot.

Just play the damn game. You're good enough to kill the record books. You don't need to be an icon and entertainer right now. You need to be a multiple time winning MVP, you need a ring, you need to be the best QB.

We all have that friend that HAS to do something every single day, especially over the weekends. They have to go out, they have to be seen, they have to be heard. They can't just sit at home and relax. That's how I see Cam. He can't just "sit at home". In other words, he is pre-occupied with too much in his life. Football should be his only focus. 24/7.

For the first part of his career, Manning did nothing but study the game. And it showed. Yes, I know Cam puts in the time. It's shown. But, buddy, when you care about your IMAGE as much as you do about WINNING, people will continue to dislike you. It's not a youth thing, it's not a black/white thing, it's a professional thing. The QB is supposed to be the ROCK of the team. The leader. The foundation. Flying around like a little airplane during warm-ups might make us all smile, but it's time to get serious. This is the NFL. Not junior college and Auburn where you could have your cake and eat it too. This is for real, Cam.

Just my two cents.

You valued that too much.. no cents...lol everybody is entitled to their opinion..But who are you or anyone else to declare what qb should be..what his personality..what he should have as goals..you don't think he takes his job for real because he tries to enjoy it..the best way he knows how for him and for others like kids...when it is all said and done football is for entertainment..it is not for running the country or fighting for rights, your not saving lives,  your not educating kids about real life..See that's what's wrong with us..you want to look to entertainers to be politically correct..when it's not their job..what Cam does is entertain..there is no rule book that says how a quarterback must act...Let sports be what they are meant to be...Grown men who are suppose to be all professionally good at their positions..batching about a first down point a to celebration is just plainly stupid..it's not like we are in elementry school where it good actually hurt..Cam has not complained not once, but everyone else is..Cam said it he gave them the ingredient to stop the smiles stop the celebration ..don't let me in don't let me win but my God I think he wanted it to be within the rules of the game...See when a person is jealous or hate you or what you represent they will do anything to take you out...That's not Cam's fault that the haters were born with that face, or lack of charisma..

Jones clearly launched.

Dirty play that's using the concussion protocol to the defense's advantage, plus the fact that the officials have seemingly refused to protect Cam after his incident with Hochuli last season.

Of course he "launched" lol.  He was trying to get there before he crossed the line.  Did someone tell you that a player can't launch lol?

By the way football is a team sport..and it takes a true collective part coaching, defense, offense...offense has never not to my memory won a SB but defense has. True he came out with first down points but really is that what truly bothers you..after a big hit the defense celebrates gives high fives  flex muscles what is the difference I have seen other qbs do the first down signal but they don't get hammered..it is because he his Cam Fricking Newton...He is just Blessed!

Is this thread for real?  Are there really some fans on this board that believe that if a runner gets hit after any portion of the ball has crossed the goal line then it is a late hit?

I'm saying that's why Cam stopped running he is across the plain and really no one was there..until the guy launched at him..if Cam had kept running guy would have pancakes him from the side clearly in the end zone. That would have been a penalty.

People are gunning for Cam. Whether he crossed the end zone or not doesn't matter.

He needs to understand there is a bullseye on him. Lot of people see his celebration and dancing as arrogance and showing people up. Be smart Cam

I'm not sure what you are saying there.  But I am quite confident that anyone that thinks that was anything CLOSE to a penalty doesn't watch football at all.  That would be like saying that a running back that dives over the line to get to the end zone and gets hit in the air would have been hit "late" if they had the ball over the line lol.

Cam kept running it would have been a penalty because he would have been about 3 yards in.

I hate defending a Falcons player, but he was clearly put his shoulder forward. He's just shorter than Cam, so yeah of course their helmets are gonna touch... this wasn't anything CLOSE to what we saw in the Denver game.

Cam taking a stroll on this play is infuriating. I don't even know what he's thinking. Just run straight in or even dive and none of this ever happens

No it wasn't, it's the League allowing players to continually blast him helmet to helmet.

camhit2.0.gif

I'm gonna defend my QB.

They are teaching these defenders to hit him helmet to helmet every time he becomes a runner.  That Mofo lead with his helmet and they better fine his ass.

The officiating is going to continue to let them get away with it and I have no doubt the league is behind it.
