Cam getting a concussion was his fault

What football needs to be? You mean, a game? Call me crazy, but I don't have a problem with players celebrating good plays in a GAME. It's supposed to be fun.

I don't either big picture. But this ain't college.  These dudes are paid.

Only issue I have with it now is the O is dysfunctional.  Mentally dumb to be specific.   They need to right the ship and but the emphasis there instead of getting in a showboat moment between the slop and crap.

I see it this way: whenever any player from another team celebrates after a big play, we look down on them just a bit. You know it's true. This should be no different with Cam or any Panther. Just think back to the T.O., Moss or Ochocinco days. People thought they were clowns. Yet, we loved when Smitty did it.

You can't fault Cam for trying to be an entertainer and "icon" outside of the game. Michael Jordan did it, Peyton Manning did it, Brett Favre did it, LeBron James does it, Aaron Rodgers does it now. One difference ... all of those guys did it AFTER they won it all and became "best of the best". Cam has been trying to do it from day one and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Ask yourself this: when our fans get down on a crappy guy like Remmers, we're fine with it. He deserves the hate. But what does it mean when part of your fan base starts to get iffy of a GREAT player? Where there's smoke there's fire. SO many fans from other teams hate on Cam. The media hates on Cam. Now even some of his own fans "hate" on Cam. There's something there, guys.

This is not a knock on his talent. Dude has it coming out of his pores. But when someone like CRA says he needs to set the tone of what football "needs to be", what he means is some of us want Cam to be a QB first. NO, not a "white QB" as the debate usually ends up. Not some quiet, no nonsense, stand-in-the-pocket passer ... but a PROFESSIONAL. Stop pointing after a first down, stop taking balls away from another guy who scores a TD just so YOU can give the ball away, worry about your food truck in the off season, worry about the millions of ideas UA has for you for the off season, don't worry about the crazy shoes and outfit you'll wear at a press conference, don't worry about HAVING to wear a shirt with a message during warm-ups. And for the love of god, stop tweeting like an idiot.

Just play the damn game. You're good enough to kill the record books. You don't need to be an icon and entertainer right now. You need to be a multiple time winning MVP, you need a ring, you need to be the best QB.

We all have that friend that HAS to do something every single day, especially over the weekends. They have to go out, they have to be seen, they have to be heard. They can't just sit at home and relax. That's how I see Cam. He can't just "sit at home". In other words, he is pre-occupied with too much in his life. Football should be his only focus. 24/7.

For the first part of his career, Manning did nothing but study the game. And it showed. Yes, I know Cam puts in the time. It's shown. But, buddy, when you care about your IMAGE as much as you do about WINNING, people will continue to dislike you. It's not a youth thing, it's not a black/white thing, it's a professional thing. The QB is supposed to be the ROCK of the team. The leader. The foundation. Flying around like a little airplane during warm-ups might make us all smile, but it's time to get serious. This is the NFL. Not junior college and Auburn where you could have your cake and eat it too. This is for real, Cam.

Just my two cents.

I just came up with the PERFECT comparison for Cam ... ALLEN IVERSON.

Talent off the charts but was disliked because he wasn't a true professional. Never won it all sadly, but he had the talent to. So compare him to say ... Magic Johnson. That's what Cam "haters" have an issue with.

Ok, no more cents.

That is also launching. Helmet to helmet contact and the defender left his feet becuz cam is 6'5 getting hit by a secondary player.  Granted Cam shouldn't have eased up but by rule that is considered launching.  And to a QB

No it wasn't and no it isn't and I sure hope you never serve on a jury as the video is played right for you and you still fug it up. Dat dere is a lyin ass vidya tape yall

Everyone's position becomes "runner" when they run the ball...repeat this until it sinks in.

But this is a different tune when the Panthers are winning right? He's a quarterback so his image is a priority, honestly. Peyton has always cared about his image. Tom has always cared about his image. Cam loves the game and loves to have fun. That doesn't mean that he doesn't take it serious or doesn't care much about winning. His food truck, his endorsements, his style means nothing if he's playing with an OC who is about as dumb as a doorknob sometimes and an offensive line who can't keep him upright. It's unfair that you want him to not have his hands in other things because of a losing record. Cam had the same things on his plate (minus a food truck that it's a joint business venture with two friends). He had endorsements, a full schedule, a baby on the way, etc last season. Only difference is he was winning. He was seriously having fun last year and people loved it. Now the team has a losing record and it's time for Cam to not have fun, not give balls away, not have other business endeavors and just shut up and play football. Part of the mental breakdown is he's not having fun out there. You can't love something when you're winning and hate it when you're losing. Even if he stopped doing what he's doing off the field, it still wouldn't make a difference behind this o-line, the beating through four games he's taken on and off the field and the frustration with the play calling.

Our O isn't dysfunctional because of Shula.

It is dysfunctional because of talent at times and then it is dysfunctional because our players/studs are being dumb.

I didn't say they were dysfunctional because of Shula. I just don't think Shula is that bright anyway. I don't think the o-line is awesome and I do think we are making a lot of mental errors. They can't keep Cam on his feet, Cam is getting beat, Cam is hanging on to the ball because he's not trusting himself nor the people around him or the play caller. My point was, I think we would all be frustrated if he had to deal with this. His endorsements or image or business endeavors has anything to do with what's happening on the field.

I've always felt this way about Cam. Even last year. And I'm a lifelong Auburn fan so I'm no hater of the kid.

After watching that gif a bit more I think it's hilarious that Remmers tries to fall his fat ass on that defender on purpose...man I like Remmers and wish he was actually talented because he has the heart and mindset of a good player he just sucks and isn't the best athelete out there but by god he tries and then actually tried to defend Cam by jumping on that doods head.

Seriously pay close attention to the gif as Remmers comes in at the end of the play and jumps his knee on that guy lol. It's like Smitty saying to Jake when he poo his career away "I love the man, but the QB?" same way with Remmers.

You old boring farts yet again talking about him doing the first down point is simply astounding to me.

With all that is going on with this franchise right now, there is still someone with an apparently functioning brain focused on suppressing celebrating instead of actually improving our team?

Priorities, huh? Simply pathetic.

People like that don't even deserve a winning franchise.

In what world would a defense not hit someone in that situation?

The gif shows it's even less egregious than it was live...why was he stopping? Dood isn't gonna just hold his hand while he walks in...

So what does Cam do keep running straight and let the guy blast him from the side..this guy turntable his body and lunge at Cam he had already broke plane..it is not whether is just going to let him walk right in, it is whether or not Cam had broke plane and if the guy had time to stop Cam had 1 foot in and q partially in with ball in front it was a free hit.
