Cam getting a concussion was his fault

Here as a Bucs fan.  I was browsing to get insight into our matchup.  I have to say,  all I've seen in this board is whining that the entire league is against you and your QB.  Clearly Cam was hit justifiably after waltzing his way into the endzone.  I keep reading throughout this forum how the refs and league are calling games against you, dating back to the Super Bowl!

You've been outplayed in all of your losses dating back to the Super Bowl.  Your 15-1 season clearly spoiled you.  Try being a fan of a losing franchise.  Show some class.  Good luck Monday.

I'm still confused about this thread.  Are you guys saying that defenders shouldn't be allowed to tackle Newton?  Are you saying they should be allowed to tackle him but different rules should apply than when tackling other players?  Or are you saying this was an illegal tackle?  What I'm getting is that you think it was a legal tackle but unfair for some unstated reason.

I guess another option I left out is that it was a fair hit under normal circumstances but players have a moral responsibility when tackling Newton to not just comply with the rules, but take additional precaution based on his status of somethin which I'm not aware.

Or is it people like you that are saying that defenders are somehow REQUIRED to launch themselves at Newton's head and be defended for it?

I guess I missed the part of the rule book that REQUIRED head shots when you are tackling a runner.

It doesn't require head shots, it just doesn't require you to lean you head away from your body if the intended recipient of the tackle is Cam Newton.

Na man we should have time freeze abilities that will stop time as soon as the football crosses the plane.

The emotion here blows females during "that time of the month" out of the water and it's funny to me honestly. Grown men who claim to be football fans crying about a player crossing the plane and is hit at the same time and somehow the defender was not supposed to do that...yea ok

The defender played within the rules. If the rules allow for hits like that the we need to think of other solutions to make sure Cam doesn't take those kinds of hits.

I'm curious as to what you would have him to do. You think he alter his position in a way that would both cause him to affect his angle and give the runner a better path to reach the ball over the goal line?

Some people can't accept that Cam is not superman and he does make boneheaded plays....that one being one of them. He often tries to get cute rather than just play football. I'll gladly eat crow if I am wrong, but I think his best years playing QB are behind him. His fault, talent around him or coaching.....makes no difference, I think his best is in the past.

lol that's false. You're crazy if you think Cam has played his best football and it's behind him. He hasn't even began to peak yet.
