Season was over anyway but at least we can hopefully get that top 3 pick and trade it for a trove of picks or grab a cornerstone piece...

poo like this is why people talk poo about our fan base. When we win everything is good but when we are losing it is poo. Here we are in week 4 of the season with a 1-3 record with 12 games still to go and we have a large group of people saying the season is over. Keep believing that if you want but I won't say the season is over until we are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention and even then I will still be there cheering for the team. Hell I still remember people on here getting pissed that we were winning and "hurting our position in the draft". True fans don't pull this crap and it is exactly why so many are able to laugh at our fan base.

By that same logic every hit Cam took in the Denver game was "completely legal" except the one they threw a flag on.

What the hell are you talking about? The guy hit a runner on a 2 point conversion attempt How is that even comparable to Cam getting speared in the head while in the pocket?

The fact that even runners head's are protected from deliberate head-to-head shots?

Well they aren't, and that wasn't a deliberate head-to-head shot. Not even close. The Falcons defender did what he could to try to prevent the two point conversion, and came pretty damn close. TD makes hits like that all the fuging time and you cheer it. He's hit Jimmy Graham like that at least a dozen times. That hit was absolutely legal, and all on Cam for slowing up, just like he did against the Aints last year or the year before when running into the endzone. Not saying he deserves it as you probably assume I think based on your post at the top of this page, but the fact that he has a concussion is entirely on him letting up on the play.

If calling yourself a true fan makes you feel better then cool, I want what's best for the team and potentially "saving" your job for finishing 7-9 and getting another LB or RB isn't that. But sure I'll be cheering I said that.

You want what is best for the team and yet you are spreading this logic that the season is already over? I mean that just makes no sense. In my years of watching the NFL I've seen teams start terribly and then go on a streak and dominate into the playoffs. Am I saying that will happen with us, maybe, maybe not, but spreading the thought of the season being over most certainly won't help. Imagine if that sentiment spreads how home games would be. We already have issues with opposing fans and if people think the season is lost already how do you think that will play out. I'm not saying you particularly won't be cheering or hoping for a win, I just think it is dangerous to spread things like that until we are eliminated.

Once again we could 'save" the season and make the playoffs at 7-9 and then get a RB instead of a franchise LT or DE...which is better the 1st round playoff loss or the potential All Pro top pick that could lead to much more than 1st round exits.

Too much going on now I say the season is over based on the players attitudes if they look like they have checked out why should I not say as much? They looked disinterested in warm ups and then looked like they didn't want to play for most of the game...that's on them not the fans.

Better yet...what if we won 1 more game and lost Cam that year? YAY wins...meaningless wins are meaningless.

I'd rather make it to the playoffs and continue to play and possibly win. The Giants made it into the playoffs with a 9-7 record and then went on to beat Atlanta, Green Bay, San Francisco, and ultimately the Patriots to win the Superbowl in the 2011 season. If they had used the same mentality that you are showing then that never would have happened. Now did the team look disinterested, yes, but I fully expect that to change as I know Olsen and TD won't stand for such lack of effort before a team meeting is held. This is my opinion and it won't be changed since I choose to have faith until the end. You are entitled to your opinion on this, and as such I don't expect to change it, but I still stand that this mindset is one of the primary reasons nobody takes the panther fan base seriously like they do for other teams even when they are losing.

That team started 7-2 and never had a losing record that season...much less 1-3.

And? If they let themselves think it was the end of the world when they dropped the next 4 games and then the 5th after they win against Dallas they still wouldn't have made it to and then through the playoffs and won the Superbowl. As I said, you can continue to look at the season as over if you like however I won't and I'm sure plenty of others would agree with me. Anyhow, I'm just going to leave this discussion on this note as both of our opinions have been clearly stated.

Makes no sense lol if you start 7-2 you know you have a good team and can stand on. "we let one get away" or "we're not playing up to our potential"

You can't do that when you're 1-3...

If you're 7-2 you only need a few more wins to know you're at least a wildcard they aren't going into the pits after losing a few the start matters that's why only very small percentage of 0-2 teams have made the playoffs. Know why? because good teams win fugin games lol it's not hard to get. If you can't project and make predictions about how things are likely to go based on information at hand then you're ripe to struggle throughout life.

You must believe in stuff like: Remmers all the sudden becoming talented, DEs actually getting pressure and beating good OL, Secondary actually being able to cover someone, Shula being able to call a complete game, Rivera not being a bitch and actually paying attention to the game clock and poo like that.

We know none of that is going to happen so...if you want to be insane and think something new is going to happen then go ahead but we know RIvera will have poo clock management we know Remmers can't stack up to good DEs we know Shula is gonna Shula....and you know this MAN.
