Byrd can be used, but Shula offense is long developing routes. If he shorten things, more 3 step drops you'll see the difference. It worked in the 1st half of Bronco's game. I guess Shula said I don't like this, let's stop

That is the crux of most Panther fans angst. The Offense HAS looked good. The Defense HAS looked good. But for some odd reason, we cannot seem to put it all together

There is too much talent on this team to NOT think we will be OK. But...lots of talented teams have faltered. Damm, I just harshed my own buzz. Crap!!!!!

As a life long Lions fan. I would take that. Hellz man, most teams would take that. Most teams can't fill out their top 22, let alone fill in their back ups.

Filling out an NFL roster is tough. Do you not remember the Dark Days around here, when even most of our starters weren't good enough to make other teams. We are in the midst of the Golden Age for Panther Football.

We lost two games to two really good teams. That does not take away from the talent level on this team. Just because the sky is falling. It does not mean this team lacks talent.

You see most of these new fans have no idea what you're talking about. They just got off the 49er/Seahawk bandwagon to find some other "winning team" until that said team starts sucking again.

They have no idea what a bad team looks like because they ditch the wagon before that ever happens, so they expect all-pros everywhe

A football fan is a football fan. Those other folks, I may hear them, but I don't listen. I react to what I see. Most reasonable fans do. It is those fans that react to what they feel that let their emotions get away from them.

Those are football fans. Sure there are fans that only root for winers. Those Band wagon fans. But they hafve no knowledge, or expertise, to worry a true fan.

To me, it is my privilege to educate the uninformed. I have a sister, that calls me when she sees a play she can't define. We  talk it through, but we both come away better informed. Most fans don't have that sounding board, that friend they can bounce ideas off. So they come here and have to start from scratch..We have to accept them.We have to teach them.

Gotta be so tough on guys like Bersin, Kyle Love, Horton to be "that guy" - the guys who are solid depth, who the team really likes, who have experience starting, but who are the ones who are expendable when there's a position emergency.   At least I think Bersin still has P/S eligibility.

He is more valuable to the Panthers than any other team.  His chief value to us is his playbook smarts, also his good rapport with Cam.   He's "plug and play" at all of the W/R spots.  Doubt he gets picked up.  It's nice having him around as insurance.  Gives us very good W/R depth even if he's not flashy.

I'd like to think more people are learning, but the truth is a lot of people still have unrealistic expectations.

"Our backups aren't starter quality." No s--t. Name me a team whose backups are.

"We don't have great players at every position." Again, no s--t. In the salary cap era, nobody does.

Reality is that even the best teams in the league have guys that are just average or role players at best.

The idea is to put together the best roster possible, butin a league of 32 teams and 60 plus players per roster, you're never going to find one that's free of weak spots.

(unless, of course, you turn off the salary cap and injuries)
