True, although I think they certain plan on being competitive at some point.  

They are 0-3 though,and it could be that they might decide to load up on picks and clear some cap room.  I looked it up and he is about a 10 million cap hit for next year.  That is quite a bit of savings for them.

If you're not getting better you're getting worse. Three games into this season, we've lost as many games as we did all last season combine, playoffs included. That doesn't mean it's time to panic though and trading a 1st round pick on a 31 year old LT would be a panic move.

Look at the trade value chart. Yeah, it's a little outdated and teams don't use it as gospel, but it's still  a decent guideline. 

Just for reference, the 15th pick in the 1st round (just to pick a middle of the road selection) is worth 1050 points. That same pick in the 4th round is worth 68. The 1st rounder is worth over 15x the 4th rounder. They aren't comparable at all.
