Is Peppers burning his bridges?

Havin' a bad day, Fiz?

of course I'm having a bad day on this board.

it's a board about the carolina panthers who are terrible. there's nothing to be happy about here, especially peppers apologism which is misguided and inexcusable.

if this board was called banginghotbitchesallday.com, I'd be happy, cause that's what i do.

but it's about the panthers who suck, so yeah

Ryan Sims. NO google either

he was on tampa bay then.

he was drafted by the chiefs

this was like 7 years ago though

For the Texans I remember Amobi Okoye, although he hasn't exactly been a stud.

As for Ryan Sims, wasn't he the guy that is considered a colossal bust that we pretty much ran over in the Tampa game last year? I think that was the guy that Steve Smith decleated on a downfield block (not good for a DT to be knocked out by a 185 pound wide receiver).

he'd probably just dance around me for twenty minutes

Oh yea and I will not address you anymore in case you want to respond with a smart comment....I get PAID to argue for a living so unless you are giving up some loot....I'm out!

whenever someone says peppers can't do it by himself because he has no one else is a stupid babby child who can't look at an apple and see an apple and should probably stop debasing themselves apologizing for a player who doesn't give a sh*t any more about football and hasn't for a few years

oh also has a disease that will kill him in five to six but whatev

I have seen you mention that a couple of times. Are you serious?

Okoye is pretty dang good too. But still...Mario dominated in his first year before Okoye hit the scene.

Well he didn't exactly dominate his first year, only 4 or 5 sacks, I think. It took him a while, I think he had 12 or so his second year, coincidently the year Okoye was drafted. Doesn't mean he was the reason, but Mario struggled his first season, it took him a while to get his first sack from what I remember.

Regardless, Peppers gets handled one on one way too often, I guarantee if he played pissed off, this would not happen. Unfortunately, he needs a fire lit under his ass, which Fox is incapable of.

While sack number is true...Mario was a dominating force in his first year. This can be proven in the constant comparisons in Reggie Bush's success as NOT being the number one pick in leiu of Mario. Overwhelmingly it was Mario that won that worth debate.

    • If there's another QB that came to the combine after packing on 15 lbs of water weight to hide his playing weight, I don't remember it.  I understand it's all part of the pre-draft game, and he participated. The FO was stupid and ignored huge red flags.  On a side note though, I was at the airport a few weeks ago and saw a basketball team going through and decided to try and look through them. I'm 6'2 and these guys were 6'6 and up. I was amazed by how much I couldn't see around them. And these guys weren't 300 plus in pads. I still think he's having a hell of a time seeing the field at the NFL speed.
    • There is merit to the points you're making here. On the flip side one could argue it took us investing 150 million in the oline for him to have a breakout season. And he has still yet to hit 1k rushing yards in a season. As far as Brooks goes the position does not require that significant of a draft investment for many other teams. That's not being negative it's just a matter of fact. The 49ers did quite well with a UDFA running back while McCaffrey was out. It is understandable that some people have concerns. That being said it boils down to whether or not you believe in the player. We just have to see what happens with him and Brooks.
    • Okay, that day in Vegas had to embarrass him completely. Andy showed him how to do the job.  What I think when I go there, why did it take Andy? He has had game after game of watching actual NFL QBs work and that didn't do it?  Anyhow Andy did not mess around, he stood in there and did his job and got rid of the ball ahead of the pressure. Down the field. With the same players Bryce had. Night and day.  If that didn't wake him up nothing ever would. But I don't think he has any sort of top NFL QB in him, he just lacks the full tool kit.
