What went wrong with this play?

Olsen and Philly(?) didn't need to double a CB. Olsen should have taken the DB who made the tackle. Remmers took the right guy, the LB. Asking an OT to block a perimeter defender on a WR screen is not realistic and bad play design.

My thought exactly.

either daryl is really that much worse than remmers or ron is just being too loyal once again.

Im pretty sure its Ron being 2 loyal, we have seen what Remmers offers aka JAG time to move on to Big D. The best case scenairo is Remmers get injured and they are forced to play Daryl.

It's a domino effect.

Philly Brown screws up and it screws up everyone's assignment.

Brown watched Olsen block and danced/hesitated on going to the outside or inside to block. He was suppose to come off Olsen's back and get the CB on the next level.

This appears to confuse Remmers as he is expecting 2 free defenders and sees 3. Remmers hesitates. He should have chipped the LB and gone after the S. Trai Turner has the LB and Kalil would then chip the LB and release to cut an inside defender who gets to him first. Norwell and Oher peel back to take the DL pursing down the line.

The initial set up baits the CBs and near S toward the side line thinking it is a screen to the sideline. Then Ginn runs behind the pulling OL to pull the inside defenders to them and then cuts back outside to an alley.

Brown anticipated the deep CB lined up on Ginn to come to the outside after Ginn. When the CB did not come to him he hesitates and does not know how to adjust. So, he just lightly blocks Olsen's man leaving the deep CB free and breaking down the zone blocking scheme.
