You guys do realize its only Kelvins 2nd season after missing all of last right?  It's Funchess second also, but I've never been high on that guy, just seems he has a really hard time with physical corners, and that's the NFL.

The penalties were suspect, even Rivera made comments about them.

Kelvin should have more targets, especially the jump balls he usually comes down with.

that block in the back was so ticky tacky. there was no way anthony barr was gonna catch a fozzy whittaker going full speed. it wouldnt have had a damn effect on the play.

meanwhile we dont get the block in the back on colin jones and terence newman gets away with grabbing ted ginn, which was the only way his old ass was gonna stop ted ginn from running right the fug past him for a 40+ yard gain. so annoying.

Yeah that was screwed up. Ref saw it, threw the flag, replay confirmed. No flag

Since he's been on this team KB has been prone to using his massive size to bully people out of the way a little too obviously.  It seems to happen way less often than it did his rookie year, and I certainly don't like it when it happens, but it does happen.  He also seems to have a little bit of that nasty streak that we like to see in, say, an offensive lineman and sometimes just wants to hit somebody - my guess is that combined with a bit of poor blocking technique  / planning lead to his stupid penalties.

10:1 there's a few coaches balls deep in his ass about it this week and while he will definitely continue to make mistakes he probably won't make *that* mistake again.  He is, after all, still basically a 2nd year WR.

Honestly I'd rather have a giant WR who was a little too eager to block than one who was afraid of contact.  You can make blocking technique / timing better but it's really hard to teach someone to like contact.

the block in the back was lazy, but it was really a ticky tack call. Mackenzie Alexander had one that was far more egregious later in the game that the refs let slide.

still wasn't the refs fault we lost, Vikings punched us in the mouth in the second half

Its just not only the fans but the franchise thinks of him as a number 1 and we don't need to add anything to the WR.

I still think our WR core is one of the worst in the NFL.. KB is can make some special catches no doubt but he is not fooling anyone on a route. He is a weapon and a threat but we need someone Cam can trust who will be there and can release from a great corner like the vikes had. A greg olsen in WR form with 2016 WR Speed and agility.

I think in weeks 1 & 2 many of us were surprised by how good KB looked in his return to the field.  Both in terms of conditioning, but also concentration.  He looked like a much better player than even his stellar rookie season.

Yesterday reminded us just how "young" a player he is.  No, he's not young in age like Funchess, but still, this is only his second pro season after missing all of last year; and this is only his 3rd game back after missing a full year.  I'd say we were probably due for a day like this where mistakes or the frustration of unmet expectations caught up with him.

Hopefully he'll learn & grow from this.  Very tough day for him.  But sometimes being humbled like this is a good thing, for him, and the team.  Makes you work harder to win.
