It's a long season, tell me something positive.

I had to work and couldn't watch so sorry if this is a stupid question. But is there a reason why no one is talking about how bad we are at protecting the football? We out gained our opponents every game but stupid penalties and a terrible turnover differential screwed us.

Sounds like you watched the game to me. Turnovers, and penalties killed us. Cam was off, and good, or bad, we go as he goes.

The good news being, we have Cam. We have talent. We have good coaching. (No matter what folks say after a bad loss.) We always improve as the year progresses. And best of all. EVERYBODY knows we are a far better team than the one that played today.

I'm just going of the stat line: We outgained them 306 to 211. WE had 50% more yards on offense which should be good enough to get a win. We had the ball for 9 more minutes than they did. We were better on 3rd down, by a lot. Yet we failed to take the ball once and we gave it away three times. That's the difference between last year's team and this years: turnovers.

Some positives

a.) defense looked MUCH better today than weeks one and two. I know some of you are down on 24 and 26, but I get the feeling we got two really good if not one great player in the making there.

b.) The Viking are a really good team, but we handed them 10 points if not more, with missed opportunities on our side of the ball. The KB "block in the back" really swung the game.

c.) No major injuries. Nothing makes a loss worse than getting injured in a loss.

d.) The Vikings and Broncos look like they are going to be are two toughest opponents this season. Arizona just lost to a dumpster fire that is Buffalo and Seattle has been all over the place.

e.) The NFC South sucks. This is kinda like you already have a secure A in your class and can make a 70 on the final and still keep that A. We probably just have to finish 9-7 to win the division and I still say we go 11-5 or better.

We also had a 54yd (I think) Fozzy swing pass TD called back because of a KB block in the back. Which was totally unnecessary, as it was away from the play. Cam missed Ginn Jr. twice. Under threw one, and over threw the second. Although, some will claim PI on that second one.

We did blitz Bradford in the 1st half, and they had what?, 34 yards of Offense. Then in the 2nd half? Very few, if any, blitzes. We still held them to just over 200yds for the game. But we were clicking in the 1st half.

Going to be interesting to see how we respond next week. Gon' be a poo ton of anxious Huddlerz this week.

for this game at least, the turnovers are slightly misleading.  The first interception was a long ball heave with time running out in the first half from the Vikes 45 yard line or so.  The crushing thing about that (if I remember correctly) was a sack when we had the ball close to fg range.  That is why Cam heaved it up and under threw slightly.  The second int hurt.  Just a bad throw on Cam's part that gave them the ball on our side of the field.  They ended up with a fg.  The third one was a garbage time desperation throw that didn't really matter.

The stat that really hurt in this game was 8 or more sacks, the majority of them in the second half.  Along with some killer penalties, especially the one that nullified the td.
