Cam didn't play well

I always laugh at this.

"He should have thrown it away!" after Cam gets sacked in the pocket.

I'll give you one shot to explain the fallacy in your statement.

He had enough time to make his read and decide before getting dunked for a safety! He was so focused on a big play to ginn he didn't even go through his reads! Replay the game he had long enough, I'm not saying to waste the play by just aimlessly throwing it away but he had options!

As someone else said, he started out 9 for 9 passing.

Didn't Newton also injure his ankle before halftime?

He is a tough dude. But I think maybe people have started to take that aspect for granted. These things affect his game, and our offense.

He'll turn it around.

One thing that affected us that we also took for granted is an effective run game. I don't think it's a coincidence we've struggled so much with Stewart on the sideline. Those crucial first down runs open up everything.

Getting people to admit Cam ever has a bad game can be a task on these boards. lol

Of course he had a bad game, you can look at the stats

The question is why and how can we fix it. The coaches didn't adjust. For the first time in YEARS, Cam had 3 step drops and got the ball out quick against the Broncos which helped us take the lead into half-time, we do the opposite in 2nd half and lose. Cam plays well in the 1st half against Vikes, completely opposite 2nd half and we lose. Mike Shula isn't doing a good job.

Cam likes to play at a faster pace, Shula and Ron makes the offense play slow

You still don't understand your fallacy.

Not surprised.

We can all place blame on OTs, DEs, etc..  But the fact of the matter is Cam did not have good game. Fozzy/CAP did great..Olsen was on point. Cam was off. And that's fine. Only targeting our #1 & #2 receivers the entire game 4 times is BS. Cam held the ball to long at times and didn't read the defense like he's capable.

Let's get the next one .

I am going to respond to you before I read this thread. I want to get my thoughts out first, cuz I am rather scared about where this thread could go.

First. I think, all in all, you have it about right. Although I would like to add that it is Cam's decision on where the ball goes.  Sure, Shula calls the plays, and Cam has the option to audible. But ultimately, it is Cam's decision on where the ball is going. So when Cam has a bad day? Our Offense looks like it did today.

Good/Great Cam-We are dang near unbeatable.

Bad Cam-See today.

Well, that wasn't so bad. Sure folks are frustrated, hellz, me too. And it is good to see not everyone is all fire and brimstone. If you truly believe the season is over because of this game? You haven't been watching the same Panther team I have.

These guys are not going to pack it in. They will Keep Pounding. And I am almost positive we are going to get our poo together.

Cam was forced into statue mode,  not because he didn't want to run,  but because whenever he tried to run,  the Vikings defense was extremely quick.......and got to him before he could blink.     Take away his run ability and crush his Oline and Cam becomes mortal. .........  especially when we live and die through our long developing,  big plays.

It's not an excuse for  him,  it's just an explanation of why he was bad.

I can think of a reasoning why our defense gave up so many plays..

I can't think of a reasoning behind our special teams ALWAYS drawing a ton of flags every game though.  I can't think of an explanation as to why our coaches can not make half time adjustments.

Our kick coverage has sucked for over a decade.  It is truly dumbfounding that we have never been able to fix it.
