That KB penalty was killer. He wasn't even affecting the play. My biggest frustration through the first 3 games is how sloppy we have been playing. Even against the 49'ers we just played sloppy, we were just so much more talented than them that it didn't matter.

This.

The play calling complaints are just the usual noise that happens when a team loses.  The sloppiness is horrible though.  Boneheaded penalties, 7 turnovers in two games, and bad special teams play are why we look bad.

Thing is Ron wants to play slow, power football but doesn't have the coaching staff or disciplined enough players to execute that style.  And when things go south with that style of play, they go south quick and you have to scrap your entire game plan.  But we all know how tight Ron likes to stick to a game plan.

Hey y'all.  Ron talking about the penalties was NOT a criticism of the refs or in any way saying the penalties were unfair as an excuse.

He said the penalties showed the lack of team discipline and blamed himself.  He said ultimately it comes down to me.

So perhaps he should blame Shula too, but he's NOT dodging his own fault here and the team's sloppiness.  He sees it and is admitting it.

You are correct, but he fails to notice that we play better when we go to the hurry up. Cam is much better is the up tempo hurry up, but Ron is stubborn.

We dont want to score too quick, it tires out our defense bullshit

Losing and winning your only SB can break your coaching career with that team, I've seen it too often. Its on Ron to adjust and adapt in order to win. Its on JR to make sure we don't have a John Fox part 2. Don't waste Cam Newton prime
