Same story DE and OT..

Fans don't account for situation enough when it comes to evaluating O line.

Watching the Steerlers game, they're down big, which means the Eagles can pin their ears back and rush with no consideration for the running game. This makes it hard on the O line. It makes them look worse than are.

As I type they sack Ben again.

But what makes them get down by a big margin? The pressure initially created by ripping two turnstiles out of the BoA entrance, handing them jerseys and multi-million-dollar contracts and finally starting them at LT and RT.

It's what the Giants were known for when Gettleman was up there, solid interior play and week OT's. Letting Eli continuely get abused with hits. Not that was on him there, but he's continued that same thing in Carolina by not taking the bookends of the oline seriously.

It's Ernie Acorsi's philosophy. Grab mid round lineman and coach them up rather than using a high pick on them.

I'm not sure how I feel about the philosophy, on one hand Eli's been beat up, on the other, they got 2 ships.

He would help but its never going to happen too much bad press. The hardy saga derailed 2014 until the late season wins.

Bad press for who?  And for what?  Oh yeah, for the other 31 teams in this $15 billion business who don't want the Carolina Panthers to win.

I agree. the NFL was going to let him play without punishment until the Ray Rice video and the panthers received bad press until they suspended him for the season. Personally after the way the panthers were treated by the refs in the super bowl and the first game of the season, I would take the bad press for a chance to win the Super Bowl but JR ruled out the possibility of  a  Hardy reunion years ago.

Teams like Pittsburgh, NYG, NYJ, could get away with signing him not the panthers.

This team needs another chance at the SuperBowl. I think Greg Hardy would ignite the D line and bring back some of that relentlessness. I think it would be a morale booster and make TD and Lukes jobs much easier.

Nothing is wrong with the Oline. They got behind and panicked when they should have focused on running the ball. That was coaching and yes, too often it seems as if they take their foot off the gas to play ball control and unwittingly allow the other team back into the game. How many more blown leads?

I know he's old.  And stubborn.  But he knows football.  At least I assume he does.  How much can a man who knows football watch this chit when 3 years ago this team had more pressure than any team in 3 decades and the man who made it happen is available?

Sucks that multiple games had to be lost and an uphill fight at best for HFA awaits just to prove a point, but point proven.  It's a need, not a want or fantasy.  Release him.
