I knew going into this game Kelvin was gonna struggle against Rhodes, for Funchess to get shut down like that is embarrassing 

 

All summer long I heard about Funchess this, Funchess that. But I never brought into it. He's the same receiver from Michigan with bad hands and gets no separation. 3 catches in 3 games

It's hard to catch a ball that's not thrown your way or your qb is sacked cause your told by the OC to run long af routes. You run the system and the system sucks.

It's not the receiver, it's the playcalls.  If you decide to run pass plays designed to go 40 yards down the field using guys who run a 4.5 40 and the opposing team having a fantastic pass rush, then you're gonna have a bad time.  Shula should be embarrassed, but he wont be.

I've been saying it all season.  I was really looking forward to seeing his development after all the off-season hype, but I see the same guy from last year.  We're still need to be on the lookout for a running mate for KB if Funch doesn't show something as the season develops.

Maybe the fan base has overlooked the speed ginn/brown provide? Perhaps they are better suited for an offensive that can only run deep routes ever pass play?
