Get rid of shula

For the 1 millionth time. IT IS NOT MIKE SHULA.

He is not the greatest OC but he is given LIMITED pieces to work with.

Cam Newton came into the WORST OFFENSE OF ALL TIME 6 years ago.

The Panthers have spent exactly ONE ONE ONE first round pick on the offense since. We have spent 2 second round picks on the offense since then. We have really only signed Ginn, Olsen and Tolbert since then.

NOTHING is going to change until our FRONT OFFICE and Panthers fans who support said front office start believing that it is UNACCEPTABLE that Cam Newton is STILL the most athletic player on offense. When we STOP believing that it is only Luke that needs help and not Newton.

Newton is the most hit QB in the NFL WHILE IN THE POCKET since he came into the league. But the Panthers REFUSE to address his Oline, his WRs, his RB...basically ANYTHING that has to do with the offense.

Shula has his problems. He really does. But the mentality of our fanbase and our front offense is why our team continues to have seasons where Newton gets hit more than most RBs (while in the pocket).

I've heavily, HEAVILY criticized him in the past and again today.  After having the #1 offense in the league last year, it's too early to jerk the rug out from under him, but Ron needs to sit his ass down and make him understand that he's not going to continue to sit back and watch his complete inability to make in-game adjustments.  When the pass rush starts getting home, we HAVE to adapt and focus on drawing up play calls focused on getting the ball out quicker.  The answer isn't keeping more guys in to protect and leaving yourself with no checkdown options due to that.

Yup. To beat these good defenses you have to be able to run shorter plays, screens and drops. You cant send your QB 7 steps straight back into a DE. You have to be able to use their aggression against them. Shula has no fkn clue, and I think that it's right to say everyone is gonna just try and use Denver's model on how to beat Carolina. Every team doesn't have the players to pull it off to that extent, obviously, but Minn did it just fine today.

The secret is out. Get some pressure on Cam and disrupt the long developing plays and this offense will crumble.

We have a good front offensive line.  No line can hold up when the QB waits 7 seconds to throw the ball.

No, we don't.  We have a good interior OL.  We're weak at the OT spots and that's where teams are exploiting us.

Do you understand that when you're running max protection with nothing but downfield routes that there's no option for the ball to come out quick?  That's what Shula does when his line starts struggling.

I'm not one to call for people to be fired, but it's obvious to me now. Shula is a problem. I don't know who would / should replace him, but it's time to move on . Ricky Prohl comes to mind . Knows what it takes on a personal level to win. Shula doesn't seem to get it .

Shula has never gotten it.. he has stunk everywhere he has been before he joined the panthers.
