We got outplayed top down today.  Straight up.  

I don't know what the hell happened at halftime but the team wasn't even there in the second half.  It was as if our inability to capitalize off golden opportunities in the 1st half stalled us and we couldn't recover.

We need to sign Will Beatty and the coaches need to stop acting like Remmers is a great player. Oher is an adequate LT, but is more of an RT. I have a feeling Daryl Williams is just being held back due to loyalty to the starters. Wouldn't be the first case of Rivera sticking with "his guys".

As for OT, Joe Thomas or Joe Staley are on losing teams and ARE attainable for a price, and can move Oher to RT.

Not saying it should happen, but could (for a price).  Unlike DE where there is only one sane solution at this point.

Sometimes I feel like starts like this are needed so the fanbase can stay skeptical. These deficiencies popping up were all known problems last offseason, but with all our success, all Gettleman has to do is throw in a few UFDAs/cheap journeymen for positions that we are worried about, hype up their "potential", and we eat it up.

And I understand not throwing players under the bus, but all I want is for Rivera to admit that the DE position could use some significant help. Dude was still waving off their struggles last week. It looked bad on paper before the last Draft, it looked bad during training camp, it was ABYSMAL during the preseason. He shouldn't be happy with the "potential" of the "young guys" and stop making excuses as to why there is no pressure on the edge.

Yeah we could use a pass rush... but the defense wasn't the problem at all today.

Maybe, just maybe, if we stop turning the fuging ball over 3+ times a game and running up the middle every other play... maybe then we might stop looking like a bunch of dumbasses out there.

And holy poo, 3 straight weeks of huge fug ups on special teams and multiple dumbass penalties.  This team is very poorly disciplined right now... and that goes back to the coaching.  It's almost like they spent the entire offseason holding hands and singing kumbaya rather than figuring out how to get back to the SB

I disliked shula the moment I read his coaching background.. he has never been successful at any level.. but because of who his daddy is he lands a job here at carolina and proceeds to basically to be immune to any internal criticisms.. nothing like nepotism eh?

Disaster? Not yet. But it looks like a team that only performs well when they get the looks they expected to get.  If an opposing offense or defense throws in a wrinkle that wasn't already on film, we seem to panic and not counter it with adjusted play calling.  Lots of room to grow but we are far from a disaster.  I won't be surprised if we are 1-3 though.  If we can't pressure Meg Ryan's bitch ass we aren't winning in ATL.
