Vikings place LT Matt Kalil on IR

That might actually be an upgrade. Matt Kalil is hot garbage.

Vikings placed LT Matt Kalil on injured reserve with a hip injury.

Kalil isn't as big of a loss as Teddy Bridgewater (knee) or Adrian Peterson (knee), but he plays a premium position and will be hard to replace, even if Kalil has been a bust as the former No. 4 overall pick. Look for 2015 fourth-rounder T.J. Clemmings to step in after making all 17 starts at right tackle as a rookie. Clemmings was PFF's No. 63 overall tackle out of 76 qualifiers in 2015.

Clemmings has looked better but a switch from right to left was done this season. It's going to be rough.

No Kalil bragging rights on the line now, just Charles Johnson vs. Charles Johnson

Zimmer said TJ Clemmings will play OT. If I had to use 1 word to associate TJ Clemmings, I'd say Skates. He had a talent for getting pushed backwards at the 2015 Senior Bowl and the few times I saw the Vikes play, he was getting pushed backwards at RT. Just wonder if Andre Smith will stay at RT or move to LT

Kalil is PFF's 65th ranked OT this year. That's either dead last or 2nd to last.
