Panthers pulling puppet strings on Cam when it comes to political issues??

There are no strings on Cam. Have you seen his press conferences?

Cam was furious with the coaches getting the play calls in last week. He was caught on camera yelling at his coaches on the sideline from the field.

LOL, nice try. But when your boss brings in a republican to help a black man "navigate" or "filter" race talks, there's strings. That's why he looked so uncomfortable. Cam has always done what he wanted to do but when the conservative whites got mad about him bringing attention to the fact that they were scared of him and what he is to league, Jerry Richardson felt like he had to step in. It sent a message to the team that "we will stay out of the race talks." Cam was the example. Unfair, especially since Cam is this franchise. Nobody would much care about Carolina if we didn't have Cam. Richardson pulled the strings but one thing I know about Cam is that he's not going to be uncomfortable for long. He knows this isn't him. The people who look like him knows this isn't him. Richardson and this organization made a fool out of him.

Question: Do the Patriots allow outside noise to come from the team? No. Why does every African-American need to be for the cause?

Nobody is saying he has to be for the cause. But it's unfair to attempt to filter him or keep his mouth closed because it makes white people uncomfortable. Cam wakes up and goes to bed as a black man. He has a black father, black brothers and most importantly A BLACK SON. He's down with the cause by default. The fact that Jerry and other white conservatives were uncomfortable in January says a lot.

How exactly do you know it was Richardson that brought Luntz in? The only thing said about it in the article is this:

"He was called in (by whom is unclear) this off-season to help Newton frame discussions on race among other topics, according to people close to Newton. "

How do you know it wasn't Cam or a member of Team Cam, as his father calls it, that was tired of everything Cam saying about race making headlines and becoming some stupid controversy that he has to address? Maybe Cam just wants to concentrate on football.

GTF outa here with that shoveling poo. It's the The Golden Calf of Bristol effect, man. No team wants ANY outside / unnecessary noise.

Well if this becomes the norm for Panther talk then I'll stop supporting this board and the Panthers. I lived without message boards and football, among many other creature comforts, when I was deployed years ago and I can live without it now. I have absolutely no use for anybody who disrespects our flag and our country. Anybody who doesn't like it here is free to leave anytime they want. Nobody is building any walls to keep you in the USA.

If someone exercising their rights that this country is literally founded on upsets you so bad, perhaps it's you that needs to leave. There are plenty of countries that don't allow such things that you might be happier to support.

Cam needs to shut up and just play football. He looks and sounds like a clown when he talks or dances around certain issues. I hope he never, ever opens his mouth about social issues because he's messing up my view of him and I want it to remain football only. Please keep your mouth shut Cam and stick to QB1 of the Panthers. Win a 'Chip and just leave it at that.

Jesus fuging Christ.......really? fuging face palm.

Because it's HIGHLY unlikely that Team Cam would bring in a white man to help this black man navigate race talk. Trust me. He was brought in by the organization, the same organization who asked him not to get earrings, tattoos or cornrows. Deny it all you want, the beloved rich white man called this shot. Team Cam would've brought in someone who is more equipped to help with the task. It was done to shut him up. Thanks, bye.

Especially when it's about race during times like these. Simply people: white people do not like to be uncomfortable

is that why many black people see disrespect in every single issue no matter how ridiculous?  because they are comfortable?

i think what you are seeing is white people getting tired of being labeled racially insensitive or all out bigots every time a black feels disrespected.

We can't say "a black" anymore. That is part of their valid argument.

So you actually have no clue and are just making an assumption. Do you know members of Team Cam personally? I'd bet you don't.

Also, it's pretty insulting that you think Cam and his handlers have zero say in any of this and just blindly goes along with anything a "rich white man" tells him to do. Cam doesn't have to do a damn thing unless he wants to. His star is way too big for that.

they got cam pegged as a willful cog in the whitman's oppression.  some straight up lala land BS.  cam would be giving them the look he gave kaep if they came at him with that in real life.
