Truth is that most everyone over the age of 40 rooted for someone else besides the Panthers. Growing up outside of Philly it was the Eagles for me.

Ignore folks talking about being a bandwagon fan. There is plenty of room aboard this train for everyone. Whether you have been here since day 1 or 1 day ago, it doesn't really matter. Some.people come to the party early and some come late. The only difference is how long you have been enjoying it.....  Welcome aboard.

Glad to have you. I switched teams too, 20 years ago, but for a different reason. Growing up in Southern California I was a die-hard LA Rams fan. Suffered thru many losing seasons at the hands of an awful owner named Georgia Frontierre . When they got up and moved to St. Louis, it was the same year that I relocated to the Carolinas. So I became a big fan from game 1 of the 96 season. What an awesome year that was! Anyways I will always be a Panthers fan even though the Rams returned to their rightful home. I will quietly pull for the Rams, except when it will hurt the Panthers. Was glad to see them beat our Rivals, the Seahawks yesterday!

If you, me, or anyone else got in their customer's faces and went on a political rant, we'd lose our job, and rightfully so. I remember Georgia. Pathetic that she got a Super Bowl ring. I remember an 'Onion' type article written in a sports magazine saying that she was considering moving the team to Paris, France, saying that they love football so much there that they named a church after Notre Dame. LOL Wish the Super Bowl in 96/97 could have been Jags vs Panthers. Sooo close! It was heartbreaking when both teams lost their conference championships. The Jags though haven't done poo since except for beating Miami 62-7 in the 99 divisional playoff round, then losing to the Titans.
