Yes The CLEAR look of frustration on Cams face when he is getting the play and ends having to call a timeout is just ignorance. Happens plenty of times by the way.

We don't have enough information to draw a real conclusion of what's going on.

I will say it was around 5 minutes left and we snapped the ball with 22 secs on the play clock when we needed to be running the clock out. That poo annoys me..

Our team has a clock management problem, I don't who to point fingers at. Maybe multiple people.

I really don't think anyone in their right mind here is calling our offense bad...

It is just that it has the potential to be SO MUCH BETTER than it currently is...

Pair that with our defense, and we should be stomping teams... even the better teams... like 40-0 every single game...

That is the frustration for Shula, and if you can't see that, then I guess you just prop him up and resort to passive aggressive name calling...

How much better can you be than the #1 offense?

Our defense hasn't gelled yet.

This isn't college, we aren't going to dominate every team we face.

I don't care that we're the #1 offense after two weeks... I care more that we could have been that much farther in front of team #2 and that we're 1-1 instead of 2-0...

I guess I am still holding onto some bitterness from the Super Bowl and week one, honestly... And I blame both of those on Shula for the most part.

There is no reason we can't impose our will on teams with our passing game, but at times it has looked pretty lackluster, and it hasn't given us much room to work with with our limited running attack...

I know that sounds bad considering we've put up yards on the ground, but we should be #1 in the run and #1 in the pass at this point by a hundred yards...

I have high expectations...

Clock management is bad. I think it is on the coaches. We were running the offense quickly in the first half, so we can speed it up. The timeouts because of the play clock are terrible. I'd say we do have a problem getting plays in fast enough. The GIF above and I recall one time in the 4th quarter against the Broncos with plenty of time left (just under 20 seconds), you can see Cam in the huddle and everyone is looking to the sidelines waving. They were waiting for a play call and then had to call a timeout. A timeout we badly needed at the end of the game.

You could potentially say Cam is slow getting in and out of the huddle, but when we wasted all 6 timeouts in week 1 for non-time sensitive plays, that is a coaching issue. Hopefully, we work on it. It really hurt us against Denver.

I agree about the clock management.  Even if Cam is moving slow, that is the coaches job to tell him, hey speed your a$$ up.

No. Still looked sloppy. Still had stupid play calls. Instead of shotgun hand-offs to Tolbert running laterally, or throwing 1 yard out routes to him, why not actually call a play that has any potential at all. Seriously, a Cam Draw, a Tolbert Draw, a fugging Bersin Draw are all better play calls than those two plays.  Luckily, our offensive talent was better than the SF defensive talent this game.

Exactly. Some really bad playcalls (screen pass on 2nd and 20 with 80 seconds left in the first half?) and more wasted timeouts.

Considering how Cam had to use the last time out and chew out the coaching staff because Shula couldnt call a play on time to only come back and call a run up the middle..

Shula did very well..only to Shula lovers

This is the most talented offense the Panthers have ever had and it is arguably the most dangerous offense in the NFL. Shula has very little to do with the success of the offense.

I can't remember which drive it was, maybe the one you mentioned, but Cam was clearly frustrated with the play calling and the decision to basically give up on a drive instead of trying to get a first down

I still hated the play calling. It's Shula's fault we didnt win the superbowl. Of course Im not happy with him. We need to change our coaching. We will never win big games with the coaching the way it is right now.

Like playoffs and NFC Championship games... You are absolutely right.  We lost to one of the best defensive teams of the past few years.  Particularly we lost against a player who has gotten 21 sacks in his last 20 games.  Yeah I think they had this new defensive coordinator with little experience...um Wade Phillips or something.  Oh and we played that team again but missed a field goal in a hostile stadium on opening day.

You are absolutely right.  Any coordinator who's last gone 25-3 in our last 28 games should be fired.  I mean It's not like we are the top scoring offensive in the league, 3 time division champions, and have gotten better each of the last few years.  We should fire this guy and hire someone who will come in and try to make Cam conform to some new playbook instead of the playbook that was custom designed for him and his strengths.

We should ask all the O coordinators who score more points per game than us to leave their jobs and come coach here. Why don't you put that list together and we can discuss it along with your expert analysis on play calling.

Why don't you get away from me with your sarcastic dribble? I dont care about it. It doesnt impress me. Or are you trying to impress the readers here on the forum?

And you are an internet tough guy who has said nothing of any consequence related to the subject of Shula.  I hate the play calling. Shula is the reason we lost the Super bowl.  Real intelligent and convincing.  Great football knowledge. Why dont you go a prowrestling forum where the average IQ is 70.  You will fit right in.

Wow, that was easy. Everyone reading, bow down and be wowed at this person's wittiness. Amazing.

I believe you started  with the insults to begin with.  Why did you come here anyway?  To make juvenile remarks and unintelligent comments.  I got admit you are doing an excellent job.  I give up, you clearly win with the foolish comments. You obviously have much more experience at it compared to me.

I read "troll" and stopped reading after that. Anyone that doesnt kiss your ass and has opinions that anger you are "trolls". Might wanna get off the internet. Or stay in bed period and dont go out.

I can't save you from yourself.  If you chose to have an opinion , someone says something counter to that and you call it "sarcastic dribble",  What can I say to you at that point?  You could have refuted what I said, but all you said was I don't care.  You called me out to begin with.  You are like a guy in a burning building screaming for help. I'm not gonna try to rescue you if you're are just sitting there saying come save me. You at least have to try to save yourself first.

I posted the troll thing because you're responses seem like trolling to me.  Matter of fact I hope it's trolling because any other answer would make you seem..  lets just say I hope you are trolling. You are the one that's confrontational.  I've been here a long time and you're ignorance doesn't make me mad at you. I just pity you.  Unless you are trolling...then I still pity you just a little less.
