Panthers may be winning, but fans still acting like losers

I went to a game two years ago, I was the only one standing up in my section the whole game.

Yeah it's getting pretty bad. Not only are other fans not standing, but they will give you crap for standing in front of them. Our normal seats are in the back row of the lower section, with a 3-foot wall behind the seats in front of the handicap accessible row. Best seats in the stadium without being in a box IMO. You can stand, and Russell Wilson's mom doesn't give you crap about it.....about standing anyway.

For those making excuses about the heat, game duration, etc., this happens almost every single home victory.

I guess I'm glad my first-ever home Panthers game was last year's week 17 game against Tampa.   The stadium was lit with people on their feet much of the game and all the CaMVP chants....  Obviously being on the doorstep of the playoffs and clinching the #1 seed that day had fans hyped even though that game too was quite a blow out.

I'm assuming the heat had a lot to do with yesterday's early exodus....

Strongly disagree with this. If you really want something to gripe about, gripe about how many red shirts there were not about people not being loud enough or taking off a little early after spending 6-8 hours in 95 heat.

PS - I left with 3 mins left in the 4th.

I was at the USC vs ECU game at 4pm on Saturday, which was a 5pt game, and the same thing happened (and that might be one of our only wins). Stands were clearing out FAST by the 4th quarter, especially the east side as they were in the sun the entire time.  It was so f-ing hot/humid in the stands you couldn't tell if I was cheering or swimming.

So no, this is not unique to the Panthers.

The Panthers have been winning a lot lately, but if you watched the fans in the stadium, you'd think they had been watching the Browns for the past two seasons.

Its terrible really. No one stands and makes noise unless the Jumbotron tells them to. 90% of fans are in their seats at all times. And a lot of spectators still don't know to shut up when the Panthers have the ball.

I took this picture today seconds after the clock hit 0:00. With about 5 minutes left in the game, fans began to pour out of the stadium. The stadium was maybe 30% full at the 2 minute warning. Check out the seats below the Jumbotron in the picture attached.

Honestly, I'd like to say there is hope for a culture change, but that might not be for another decade.

Not sure exactly what you were going for with this thread.  But, if your objective was to come off as a whiney little bitch, you succeeded.  Just sayin'.

If it makes you feel any better, I stayed and watched the entire game from start to finish from my living room suite.  The only issue I had yesterday was with the suite attendant.  Every time I asked for something to eat or drink she'd say "You got legs..."  VERY Unprofessional and I took it out of her tip.

PSL Owner since day one. Section 123 was rocking yesterday. And HELL YES, it was hot as hell out there. BUT, stayed 'til the end as usual. I will say this. The concession stands were literally running out of water. I admit that over the years I too have been disappointed in our fan base for allowing fans of the opposing teams to come into our house, but lately the atmosphere as been a lot better. For all of you that want to sing the praises of other teams and their measuring stick fan bases, go ahead and complete those applications to join today. Good riddance!

Go Panthers!
