I do recall seeing #93

*I looked up the stats from the game and his name was listed.  He didn't record any stats, but did in fact play.  I may go back and rewatch the game and look for #93, and see if there's any potential.

We had him playing DT

This team has always been strange....when we have a HoF top 10 all time WR we have no QB for most the time he's here.

We also have HoF DEs or all pro caliber DEs and no DTs to go with them.

Now we have all pro DTs and no DEs to go with them...can we please put it all together.

i don't see why they don't just sign pro-bowlers at every position, so dumb

We would be ok if we just had just good and not pro bowl DEs. How can you not beat your man one on one half the time with Star, Luke, and TD backing you up?

Hurr hurr yea hurr *drool*

When our DTs were so bad we didn't even have NFL caliber players there, not about pro bowlers at every position. But classic huddle response.

the obvious answer is that they should have drafted someone. But who dares question david gettleman!

Or the coaching staff felt comfortable with what they had at the position with what they thought were promising young guys so they didn't feel it was a priority. Plus they believe in pressuring the qb from multiple places, not just the ends, and drafted a DT in the first. Or you know, don't choose to look beneath the surface and take any chance you can to get in your cheap shots;)

To be fair the Niners tackles are pretty good players.  Staley is a perennial pro bowler.  There weakness was up the gut and it showed today.  We aren't gonna line up against Great tackles every week.  Not saying the rush can't be improved or should be, it clearly our defensive weakness and will not help our inexperienced secondary giving guys like Blaine Gabbert all day.  Yes it's a hot topic but Hardy should be given a look, u can't say he's not better than why we have depth wise.  I'm not looking to give up more draft picks for aging one and done guys.

Hardy please. I'm tired of watching the opponents qb play 7 0n 7 on 3rd downs. Plus with the Norman departure, we need some more nastiness on our D anyways. It's time to move on from that whole legal mess and give Hardy a second chance

Better late than never.  End the insanity JR.  It's an insult to the intelligence of anyone with the slightest clue at this point.

Probably not gonna find an end out there that can do what some here want. The hope is to keep scoring a bunch of points and let the young secondary earn their stripes.  They are bound to get better and haven't been flat out embarrassed yet, save Worley a few times.  Bradberry has shown a lot of promise in my opinion.

And the defense wan't bad today.  The 27 pts doesn't look great, but look at the box score.  ~300 yards given up, like 7 pts that didn't come off TOs, Gabbert with less than 7 yards per attempt, 2 sacks, 2 ints, their run game averaging 2.5 ypc.  That's a defensive effort most NFL teams would be gaga over.  If the Panthers have just two TOs instead of the four, then the score is closer to a 30 point differential, if not more, and people's tune would be quite different around here tonight.
