When we WIN the next two games...

Jordon Gross said in pre-season that the Panthers were adding new plays to the repertoire, because the offensive unit had the basics down from last year. Well, it appears that we're merely seeing a lot of reruns and not much of a variable ordering of plays. I was looking forward to guys like Rosario having a breakout year as well as the other TE's. Instead it's pretty much just the same old - same old and in the most predictable by downs.

I believe we have the personnel on offense but that they're just not being utilized well. Although Smitty has lost a step and Muhammad - I thought we'd see much more of Moore and Jarrett. It's almost too easy to go with what we've done before and that's what makes us VERY PREDICTABLE!Shake up the mix to make us unpredictable!

I believe if the Panthers OFFENSE can score 28 points each and every game we can make the playoffs. Despite a poor DEFENSE. Right now we can't do that. But. I'm hoping for improvement from the OFFENSE.

I'm just not certain that the Defensive Line can improve enough with the current personnel to make us competitive so that we get to the passer, rush him enough to hurry the ball or sack him - let alone stop the run. The linebackers and defensive backs are having fits because the opposing QB's can leisurely stand back there and take their time to do whatever they see. Both games thus far, just about every down the QB is getting 4-5 seconds and that's no hurrying the QB.Individually - Peppers -is not worth the $1.million/game . He appears to be nothing more than a millstone around the neck of the Panther team. Very little contribution from him. Heck get him out of there and let another player at least try. They should have let him go!

I really think if the OFFENSE can do 28 points a game that even the Defense will pick it up 'cause they don't have to be on the field and should be fresh. With the Offense on the field we can play more of a ball control situation. 'Cause right now we're not capable of preventing the opposition from scoring and scoring frequently. We're just not a come-from-behind team. But hopefully soon this year!

    • As I said less than 10 minutes into the game, Boston looks nothing like we're used to seeing. Regardless, any curb-stomping of the Bruins is welcome.  The scorers all got the glory tonight, but all 6 D-men had excellent games. Across the board- Gost, Orlov, Chatty, Walker and, of course, Slavin & Burns.
    • I just tried a few mock draft simulators and this is the only way lol. Nothing else makes sense.
    • No, biggest weakness is pass rush, but I don't think there is a blue chip can't miss DE prospect to take at #1 this year, same as with QB.  But beyond that, moving forward, yea WR is a pretty damn big weakness. We have 1 game this season over 224 yards passing and just traded away our best WR (who wasn't going to re-sign here anyways).  That WR no longer on the team was also the only player we've had this year who had over 78 yards receiving in a game.  So again, yea, WR is one of our biggest weaknesses even right now, let alone moving into the future. As I just said in my other post, I love Legette, but he's not going to be a Top 5-10 WR type of guy, Top 15-20 I can see, I think he can be a good #1 WR or an elite #2. After that, what do we have for the future?  Thielen isn't part of it, sure as hell isn't going to be Mingo, and as much as we all like Coker, in no world is Coker as our #2 to Legette as the #1 going be considered as "having weapons" at WR, even with Brooks and Sanders. But put someone like T-Mac into that group, who I genuinely think is going to be a Top 5 WR in this league for a long time, and it changes things.  A Top 5 WR with Legette/Coker as the 2/3, along with Brooks and Sanders, has the potential to be one of the best set of offensive weapons in the league if they reach their potential.
