This is exactly why players should be suspended when they intentionally hit players in the head. Players are thinking the same way that Bryan Priest dude thinks.

Losing a few grand won't phase them, but losing money AND being suspended would.

In normal people money ($50k a year or so) Brandon Marshall was fined the equivalent of $264 and Darian Stewart was fined the equivalent of $514 (since he makes less than Marshall).

Trai Turner fined $10K for jumping up and down. 

Stewart and Marshall fined $18K and $24K for spearing a QB in his earhole.

That argument overlooks the reality that Stewart still is prohibited from striking Newton with Stewart’s helmet anywhere, in the head or otherwise. Which makes it seem as if the common public misconception regarding what is and isn’t permitted when striking a passer (no blows to the head and neck of the passer, no contact anywhere with the defender’s helmet) also are common within the Denver locker room.

Small price to pay for millionaires for a victory.
