Ryan Kalil thinks refs should be full-time

i think they should be replaced with computers and until then, every ruling they make should be challengable and decision made by independent third party.

full time? naw. they get paid enough as it is for being crap.

i have no respect for refs until they start moving away from their biases and start calling fair games. too much of what they do is so subjective and open to too much interpretation based on their biases.

until they improve their performance they should never be given more than they are. it would absolutely be rewarding poor performance.

and since when is asking them to call a fair game asking too much of them? i agree with a lot of what kalil said, but on that....nope. that's like saying it's too much for a father to take care of his children consistently. it's what you're frikkin supposed to do.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone gets flagged for looking at Cam wrong Sunday. I have a feeling they're going to try to prove a point that "see, we don't have an issue with Cam!"

Believe it when I see it. He's still a big guy that runs, which is what the whole "special treatment" bullshit is based on.

Enough with the talk, there has to be a physical stance on the football field by the Panthers.  They are saying these hits are legit on your quarterback..which means Cam is seen to be physical, so his team needs to be physical or else Cam will not play very long. All this talk the team has to take it to the field...That's why I wish we still had Hardy, Norman and yes Smitty...when the toughest person you got is your quarterback you really are in bad shape..Gentlemen and Ron you got rid of the personalities the ones that let teams know you don't do that and left us soft. That's why Talib did that to brown wouldn't have done that to Smitty..who do opposing teams have to fear the quarterback who can get hit legally in the head bc he is everything the quarterback, the rb. Offense soft as pudding and defense soft as tissue..We not going to no Superbowl maybe toilet bowl if we don't start protecting our own.

If Refs are full time... what about from Feb until July ( Offseason) until Camp Starts....

Well... During Offseason they can be learning the new rulebook, possibly training on what to look for, maybe go over film of what is a catch/ not a catch, train new refs, take vacation for a month.. Etc. Is that so hard to ask? You get paid 160K to get Expenses Paid Trip to 16 Games at the least.

Full time may increase correct calls by a nominal amount but not dramatic imo.

I say add a couple more and hate to say it but have an age limit. 50 yrs old. You need to be able to keep up with the speed of the game.

The easiest thing to do is have officials who ONLY focus on player safety related calls.

And treat bad hits like a red/yellow card in soccer. Similar to hoops as well.

You can have enough personal fouls in one game to be out the next. Make a player rethink how they aggressive are.
