Shula Speaks

Doesn't want the MVP carrying the ball 11 times but in the game where he took 10934039 head shots, he keeps calling QB draws and read options on every other play. Shula at his finest.

It was successful though, and what makes our offense successful.  Plus, none of those shots came from any of those types of plays.  It was all in the pocket/out of the pocket passing plays.

Why the hell are we attacking Shula right now anyway?  Seems kinda silly, considering why we really lost the game...

Two weeks ago was the dreadful Patriots game. Not exactly the best basis for comparison.

That said, if Denver ends up being the toughest defense we face this season, 20 points is not a bad floor. We must gets those plays out faster and stop wasting timeouts, however.

Where was all the Shula hate back last year when KB went down and we led the league in scoring. Let's not forget the offense put together good drives at the end of the first and 2nd half but stalled once we reached field goal range since somebody else exhibited poor timeout management.

Denver is very good and it's like some of your forgot they held us to 10 points on the biggest stage last year. We doubled that production on Thursday and quite frankly were in a position to put up 23 on them and win the game.

I feel very confident about our prospects with better clock management and Remmers not having to face Von Miller for the rest of the regular season.

As I understand it, Shula sends in a package of plays and Cam chooses what to do based on the defensive look he sees, right?  So when the play goes well, credit goes to Cam for his execution.  When it does not, it's Shula's shitty playcalling, huh?

Just want to make sure things haven't changed around here too much with the new format.

What if you're handed a dirty diaper and asked to make it brand new?

Shula hate has more to do with desire for free pie. Most of the things said about him are filled with more made up lies, witty remarks attempting to be funny all in the name of some pie vs post with substance critiquing his actual performance.

I like Gettleman but the opposite happens with him. People over hype his greatness and the funnier ways in which they imply it earns pie.

This is all cool, until it reaches the brainwashing stage where people actually believe these things.

I don't hate Shula, just wish he was more aggressive when it comes to playing with a lead. See Seattle in playoffs and only put the ball in the hands of your MVP 6 times in second half. See Thursday, nice 10 point lead and not being aggressive like the first half, only putting up 3 points.

People bash on us for saying Shula isn't that great, but really you should be bashed for thinking Shula is one of the best OC's in the league. Cam made Davidson look good too you know.

slow down man... I started a Shula thread this week, but these aren't as bad as the Dan Henning days...

Shula's got nothing on Henning for fan derision. Shula needs to call nothing but draw plays on third and long just to have a chance.

You guys obviously don't know football. Shula's issue has always been lack of personnel. This year, we finally have the roster that he needs to continue to get the plays in late, have everyone run 18 yard routes, and get our QB murdered. Sure, he'll mix it up by sending in Tolbert to get stonewalled against a 9-man front on a 3rd and 1; but, gone are the days of worrying about in-game adjustments, quick plays to help your linemen out against an elite defense/defensive coordinator, or anything remotely creative aside from one Ted Ginn reverse a game. Relax, everyone, we are in good hands.
