The Panthers could be fined and lose draft picks

The Panthers facing any potential ramifications from having their star player beat to poo with multiple illegal hits while the league's refs did nothing would be insult on top of injury. But, blaming the Panthers would provide a nice scapegoat and they know the Panthers would be a willing one. JR wouldn't say poo about his precious league and would bend over and grab his ankles again for the good of the league as a whole.

And if the panthers pulled Cam then the Donkeys would proceed to crush DA's skull with helmet to helmet hits. But Goodell is ok with that.

I had mentioned this Thursday night kind of as an after thought to all the hits Cam was taking.  Thought we should have looked at Cam a little bit more than we did.  I don't know the situation in full, (i.e. Cam may have told the trainer's he was fine and didn't show anything beyond being a little slow to get up).

In the future we need to make sure Cam is protected, if the refs won't do it then Rivera needs to.  If a similar situation happens this year Rivera better be on the field ripping into the refs for starters.  And I do believe this is going to continue to happen to Cam until the refs get a hold of things, if they ever do.

The whole situation is becoming more Ironic and neck-bearded, scarf wearing hipsters from Brooklyn having a conversation about vintage tee shirt reissues....

Bronco's perform multiple illegal hits to the head.  Bronco's claim that's all they can do to stop Cam.  Only one flag in game.  Cam gets beat to poo.  Cam assessed by Panthers, and the NFL spotters do not remove him from the game.  Cam passes protocols both on the sideline and in the locker room post game.  Cam gives a very good presser after loss.

Now the Panthers are the bad guys?  Denver players claiming we targeted them?  WTF!  If the NFL comes down on US instead of Denver, that's going to be an even bigger blow to the idea that the NFL cares at all for player safety.  Color me completely outraged!

The fact that the league is pointing the finger at us now, is unfortunately, completely predictable and fits nicely with the picture of inconsistency and corruption the commissioner has facilitated over the last handful of years.

At some point, the players will have had enough of the BS and a strike will happen.

Hoping we at least get to see some decent fines handed out to Denver players this week.

This won't be popular here, but Coach Rivera should have pulled Cam out of the game after that last big hit. When your QB is on the ground, writhing in pain, you've got to pull him out and at least have him checked out for a play or two.

And we do have Derek Anderson on the bench which wouldn't have caused a panic for us. It's not like it was Clausen as the back up.

Coach and the staff, I think, as well as Newton himself, got too caught up in the game and didn't make the smart decisions. It's the first game of the year, and yes it was on the line, but leaving Cam out there with the headhunters while he wasn't fully capable was putting Cam and the rest of the season in jeopardy.

And I think DA could have got us down the field there, too. When you've got a dependable back up like him, you've got to use him in emergencies like that.
