he said this mid-training camp, or after... no real time to pick up anyone great. If he had said this after last season, perhaps the bashing may begin. and although I'm unimpressed by a lot of things, can't say I'ma pile up on this one...

Let's hope Leonard, Irvin, and Harris make huge strides in the likes of Jenkins... DLine needs to be a focus and we need to stop trying to get by with average DT's. I realize they are hard to come by, but that doesn't mean we need to settle... We've been doing a great job of that for a couple years now. Time to step it up.

Unless a good DT falls to us next draft we will likely have to stick with these guys. But I do agree with you and I think the defense is missing the cornerstone DT that we need. But I think with the guys we have we should be able to stop the run fairly well next year. It sucks that Irvin got hurt we could be using him now. IMO we need to get Shaun Smith if we want to be competitive this year. And if they still want to go the cheap route we could probably snag Corey Williams in the off season for a late round selection.

Leonard was making good progress...Damn we are snake bit. Lets hope that all of those steelers fans were right and Harris becomes a steal for us.

They didn't ignore him. They got what was available.

It amazes me that people continue to be surprised when the Panthers don't sign pro bowl caliber tackles after the damn season has started. Were you expecting them to talk the Redskins into parting with Haynesworth?
