Opinions: Is Delaire a NFL quality DE?

That said, I fell into sucker mode like so many here during the offseason when Ron or Gett said "we feel good about our young guys".

They don't feel as good now.  DE in 1st or 2nd next year, got to be.  We hope Kony is real, but CJ ain't getting no younger.

I wouldn't give up on him he has a motor I would just get the new guy Edwards in front of him ASAP and I saw Kony get pancaked that hurt smh..

You can manufacture a pass rush.  You can't undo the damage that your DE getting tossed aside by the lineman and then allowing blockers into the second level does on a running play.

Somehow he seems to get worse in run support the more he plays. With short and company in the middle I would rather have a de who can at least seal the edge and funnel runs into the linebackers.

If I'm an opposing OC, I will exploit the Right side of our defense whenever Solilai and Delaire are subbed in.  Kubiak did so all last night. IIRC, on one of their initial big runs I saw Delaire and Solilai pancaked onto one another.

There was a play where he was in pursuit where TD ended up with the hard tackle...Delaire looked like he was waddling side to side as he ran.

Not sure if he runs funnier than that Fullback on Den.

It stinks but I don't see us getting any better at DE. I love Charles in charge and I think all we have is him and Kony. There probably won't be any trades this year. I hope I'm wrong.
