Willie M on no calls last night

even the hits cam took while being a "runner" are not clean.  if a defender is leading with the top of the helmet they are supposed to get flagged every single time, even if it is not H2H.  offensive players are supposed to get flagged for the same thing now.  no more RBs lowering the boom head first.

and with all this H2H talk on cam what is being lost is the late, "clean-up" hits cam was taking from the opening drive on.  those are called 100% of the time on any other qb.  i don't know how many times i've seen pansy ass poo called on a qb, freaking arm incidentally makes contact with their helmet in the pocket or some BS, and cam can pretty much get UFCd and nada!

Agreed. I think he purposely tries to not go there though. I think if he really said how he felt, he'd piss a lot of people off - not that that's a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if his sentiments slowly, but quietly, changed over the course of the season. It's also going to take, like you said, Rivera and that front office speaking out in defense of Cam. He gets so unfairly treated by the media, so the backing of his coach (who is also a minority) will be great. If he goes to the podium and he says he's not being protected and the league is allowing these hits, he's called a cry baby. If he says oh well it's football, he's giving it a pass. I definitely think RR needs to speak up and I want Cam to start back saying exactly what he feels. Did you see how uncomfortable he looked last night being neutral about those calls?

It's damn near Remember the Titans out there
